Rock 'n Roll Rollercoaster

I LOVE:love: LOVE :love:LOVE Rock n' Roller Coaster, I worship it! :worship: :worship: :worship:

If you hate coasters, avoid it!!! Plain and simple, don't go. I don't want to contribute to wimpiness in America, but do yourself a favor and stay away. It's a wonderful roller coaster. Except for lacking a huge drop, it's everything a good coaster should be. BTMR is about as tame as a non-kiddie coaster can be. If you avoid BTMR, then you should run in the other direction from RnRC. :scared:

It's over quickly and you don't know what's coming. There are loops, but since you can't see them, it doesn't feel so bad. In my old age, I have started getting queasy after riding Space Mountain, I think it's the jerking around more than the drops. I never feel sick after Rock 'n Roller Coaster.
Thanks-that's exactly what I was concerned about. My stomache gets queasy without too much difficulty, but it sounds like I could give RnR a try.

If you have trouble with Splash Mountain, you should absolutely avoid RnRC. It is fast, has drops (small, but as bad as Splash), and goes upside down.

I don't mind it! I like the ride! But if you can't handle one little drop on Splash, this isn't the ride for you.
:goodvibes

There are only two rides I will not not go on at WDW...this is one of them...did it once...HATED the take off...but if you like FAST you might like...it made me feel weird for awhile after I rode it. The other is MS...I won't even try that one!

I'm a hardcore roller coaster fanatic. There's hardly anything I won't ride. So naturally, The Rock'n Roller Coaster is one of my favorites. The take off is more intense than on any ride I've ever been on. 0-60 in about 2 seconds. Then there are three loops throughout the ride and many sharp turns. No sudden drops if I remember correctly. The main problem I have with this ride is that it's way too short. I timed it once and it wasn't even two minutes long.

Honestly, if you had a bad experience with Splash Mountain, then I would have to say it would be better to sit this one out! Rock and Roll rollercoaster is a blast but not for everyone!! My 7 year old loves it, but won't go near space mountain!

Can a 6 1/2 year old ride this or would it be too intense? He's big for his age, 49" and 68 lbs (not pudgy, muscle). This will be our first time at WDW and we are going in June so he may grow some before then.

I wouldn't put a 6 year old on it...but that's my opinion! Try it yourself first and see what you think. The takeoff is just way too intense for me

I'd give this a big "it depends on the child". My DD was just a little over 7 last trip, and this was her FAVORITE ride. She went on it a gazillion times.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. There seems to be mixed recommendations, but I appreciate all the input! It does help to be a bit more educated.

I don't like roller coasters either (bad experience on Space Mountain), but I LOVE LOVE LOVE RnR!! It's not bad at all. It's definitely a thrill ride, but not at all scary to me. We'd ride it, get off, get back in line to ride again over and over.
