Jeez Robin....I just found out, hadnt been on this board since before my vacation.....wish I had known, would have sent you a coupla rolls of quarters for you and Mike to pass the time quietly (squirting people of the ripsaw falls) LOL. Hope youre feeling better real soon and I know Michael will take good care of you.. poor thing.

I FINALLY got to meet Robin and Michael yesterday
We have missed each other by just a day or two during several trips in the past....this time we hit it just right
We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and had a great visit

What a scare they did have, but she seems to be handling her mishap ok.....ya just can't keep a woman with her spirit down Her eye is swollen shut and it's a bit difficult for her to see, but thankfully she's going to be ok

Have a safe trip home today Robin and Michael, it was great to finally meet you both

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!

Yes, I had LOTS of people trying to see through my "foster grants" to see who I REALLY was!! I would lower my head and act mysterious! To add to the mystery, all the bellhops and the waiters called me "Brooklyn" because I wore a hat with that on it one day. I'd be anywhere and you'd hear someone bellow "Yo, BROOKLYN!"

Well, I'm back to the real world and boy do I look like I went ten rounds with Evander Holyfield! Nothing Hollywood about it!

It was SOO nice to meet and speak to so many wonderful DISers! I finally met Poohbear, Pandy Paws and nhrenee, people who have been my "friends" for YEARS! And if anyone calls Pandy's little darlings Thing One and Thirg Two again I'll have to pop them! What aDORable little boys!

I had a ball Saturday with my dear compadres Dan and bsnyder and Bet's adorable little girl Alison, who called me "Miss Robin". Soooo sweet!

Missed Mardi Gras... but did meet up with our engaged DISers from the Universal board, MsDisney and MIB999999 at Mythos, my FAVORITE place to eat at USF! Good thing they saw me BEFORE I became the Elephant Woman!

Thanks, Dan for posting my malady! And thanks to everyone for caring. I'm, as usual, in the care of my WAY too old for his years BIG man Michael, who BTW just gave me a bag of ice and an order to GO TO BED!!! Check the time of this post, I just got in!

I was with Pandy, Dan and Tony in WS when you called. My heart just dropped. So glad all is well, and you are home and on the mend.

Sorry we did not get the chance to meet up this time, but maybe next time.

I woke up this morning and remembered I FORGOT to mention one very important DISer!!!

TVT!!!! aka my KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR!

The EMTs kept asking if I knew anyone in town, I kept telling them that I was on vacation then I remembered, Hey, Tony lives here and he was coming back from NY TONIGHT!

I called the poor guy from the ambulance and later found out that he was at EPCOT with a whole slew of DISers! WOW, is this board something else or what? All I was thinking of is what would happen to my son if they had to hospitalize me??? And poor Michael was so traumatized he actually threw up several times while they worked on me.... my poor kid has been through it all this year.

He spent the time in the ER holding my hand and promising me that he will take care of me forever and he will ALWAYS be a good boy! I hope he remembers that when the hormones kick in!

I think everything happens for a reason. This experience brought to mind my own mortality and my son's devotion to me and mine to him. I HAD to get better FOR him. And I will.

All this from a woman who actually wanted to die because I was so missing my parents. This was a reminder that I had some nerve trying to put my son in the same position I'm in, parentless. I had no right to do that. Thank you God for putting me back into my right mind.

I'm so HAPPY that you're back and that you had a wonderful vacation, in spite of your accident!

I'm sorry we missed you, Dan and Poohbear at Mardi Gras. DH and I were there waiting to meet up with ya'll at Monsters Cafe, but no one showed. We had a nice time anyway.

Hopefully, we can get to meet someday.

I'm glad you and Michael are doing OK.

I'm sorry no one showed. I told everyone at the MYTHOS meet that I would not be able to make it to the nighttime festivities since we had been at the park since 9am and we were WORE OUT!

Glad you had a great time anyway? Did you do the YMCA dance?

Actually, we didn't even stay past the parade. Never saw KC nor Village People. My DH was tired (we were at Monster's Cafe from 5-8:30PM looking/waiting for DISers. I think we lost our momentum! We had to drive home to Tampa yet.

They did do the YMCA song at Beetlejuice's Graveyard Review, though. Fun!

Glad you didn't let that nasty fall ruin you trip and glad RPR treated you well.

A few years at MGM an older woman ran over my foot with one of those motorized scooters. It was our last day so I sort of blew it off and just put ice on it although someone did come from first aid. They didn't even offer to drive me back to my hotel. I had to wait for a bus. When I returned home I went to the doctor and found out I had a fracture in my foot. Universal seems to have handled thing better.
