Just saw the "crawl" on CNN: Bohemian Rhapsody, Imagine, and Hey Jude voted the top songs in the UK". Bo Rap is a great record, and Queen is a great group, but to beat Imagine and Hey Jude?????????????????????? I don't think so. A great record is one that lives in the original recording, but a great song is one that transcends the original recorded performance, and sounds good when the piano player at the restaurant plays it, or when you hear the elevator version. Anybody with me?

I personally think Bohemian Rhapsody has witstood the test of time.. look in the late 90' - 90's when the Waynes World movie came out.. tons of teenagers, that had never heard the song, now were singing it, and buying the soundtrack... (my nephews case in point)

Queen has an amazing following.. I for one cried when Freddy Mercury died (its been 10 years.. but didn't whimper when John Lennon died)...

Personally I would vote for Bohemian

I got your back Micca. ;) :p

I'm not a big Queen fan, sorry Cindy! And I know I'll get hanged on the boards for saying this, but I don't like Bohemian Rapsody. :o :p None the less, all three songs have made their way into the hearts of those who cherish the artists and their talents. I would have chosen Imagine or Hey Jude before Bohemian Rapsody too, Micca.

Okay, flame away all you Queen fans! :p Cindy, before you flame me, can I borrow your "Thick Skin Cream"? :p
I can't believe you didn't even whimper when John died! I think you're just mad because Micca likes John more than Freddie. ;) :p ;)

I will tell you why...To me, the Beatles/John Lennon, was my "parents" music.

Queen was my music, I remember being in elementary school when We Will Rock You came out, and we were stomping/clapping away....

So, when John Lennon died, to me it was no big deal.. but Freddie, WOW, it was saddening to me. He was gutsy, flamboyant, the music was amazing, and really was different... back in the late 70's... sort of the anti-disco of that time...

The Beatles will be timeless. They provided so much to the music industry.

I like Queen but do not rate them as high as the Beatles.
