Robin Williams movie/ride

Ok, here's a question. Does anyone remember the movie/ride with Robin Williams where the screen was 360 degrees and there was a robot called Nine Eyes? You traveled back in time and picked up an old scientist......does this sound familiiar to anyone?
We're talking about it here at work and can't remember what it was called or what park it was in.

Timekeeper in MK at Tomorrowland. It's still around, but is seasonal now.

We got to see Timekeeper when we went in December. It was nice to see it open again. I think they are having it open more now while they are changing over Alien to Stitch.

And it is still one of the funniest, creative and unappreciated attractions in the parks.

Robin Williams is absolutely brilliant in this attraction. They obviously just let him go on and do his own thing. The dialog is fast paced and very funny.

That being said, I think the most praise should go to whoever programed the AA robot that uses Robins personality. It is programed to mimic his movements, timing, everything. It is like watching a mechanical Robin Williams. He or she nailed it. But, like I said everyone has just let it all go over their heads and have become obsessed with the fact that you have to stand for the show. There really is no other way to view a 360 movie. Nine Eyes is voiced by Rhea Pearlman (sp?) (Carla from Cheers) and adds to the quality of the show.

The movements, and words of the AA before the show starts is just incredable. "All you people with the funny animal hats need to pay attention" "Please don't sit on the hand rails and do not sit on the floor. It will be uncomfortable and with those shorts on it's not a pretty sight from up here." But it is pretty much a past attraction. I was so glad to be able to see it again this last trip.

Where is this located? I don't remember it from either of our last 2 trips. And I know COP was open!!! We did that! I just can't even place where this is.

I see it now on a map across from the Alien Encounter, but it still doesn't help!!! I wonder if they had no sign out at the time or something.

It is such a great attraction.
My son was almost 7 when we took him in '99. I asked him a few days ago what he remembered most. (I was thinking Fantasmic, Pizza Planet, Pooh character meal, Space Mt. (He LOVED it!) , being pulled into the MK parade 3 or 4 times...) With almost no hesitation, he started describing Timekeeper! I couldn't believe it! So now his little sister wants to see it & I thought there was no chance it would be open.

I'll keep my fingers crossed!

They bring it in when it's closed. lol (Amazing how the imagineers can hide the whole Wonders of Life pavillion!)

According to WDW park hours calendar, Timekeeper and CoP are supposed to be open during Alien Encounter/Stitch switch. Otherwise, seasonal openings mean it's only going to be running during a busy season. One of the "perks" of going with the crowds...

DH and DD enjoyed it. I tried to, but I couldn't watch it because it was making me nauseous for some reason. Maybe I have vertigo or some sort of inbalance. But I love the idea of it being 360. I may try it again one day.

How do you know it will be open?? I looked at the calendar & can only find "open seasonally".

I did see on the calendar that "Snow White's Scary Adventures will not be operating April 19 - May 21, 2004". Could this also affect Timekeeper being open?

Timekeeper and COP will be open at least until the new Lilo and Stitch version of Alien Encounter opens.

I read (from at least one other source than these boards) that both "Timekeeper" AND the "Carousel Of Progress" will be open everyday while "Alien Encounter" is being converted to "Lilo & Stitch".

Before "Alien Encouner" closed for good, those two were open "seasonally" (which means only on days when the Powers-That-Be thought the crowds were going to be big enough to warrant spending the extra pennies to have a couple of CMs run the attractions).
I don't understand that "seasonally" thing, but I guess they do. We absolutely LOVE the "Carousel Of Progress" -- especially when it had the original song - "The Best Time Of Your Life". I liked that song a whole lot better than the new "Great Big Wonderful Tomorrow" (or whatever it's called).
We really like "Timekeeper" too.

Here's the scoop! I was there two weeks ago and this is what happened. CoP was open all day everyday. It had a very respectable crowd each time I rode it (3) and it worked flawlessly!

Timekeeper, was a different story. Out of the 5 days that I went, at least for a small time, to MK it was only open once and that was on my last day there. I was so glad that they had it opened. I was pretty disappointed in my earlier visits to find it closed. I know exactly where it is located and believe me when they close it, only the seasoned veteran could possibly be able to tell where it is. They close the doors that look like a wall, take down the sign and put benches up in front of the entrance. It becomes invisible.

Oh, BTW, just for the record even though I agree that I like "Now is the time" at CoP better than "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow", GBBT is actually the original song used at the NY Worlds Fair where CoP first appeared. Walt Disney personally chose that song (had it written) and can be seen singing along with the writers (sorry, having a brain cramp and can't remember their names). (Sherman Brothers, I think) My very first visit to WDW was when "Now is the best time" was the song used. I have been singing that song for the past 20 years. They still play it as background music in Tomorrowland. Just listen and you will hear it.

I love the TK and agree the robot is absolutely wonderful in it...it's like watching a metal Robin Williams!!

It's a shame it's not opened regularly. I sometimes wonder if some "seasonally" days aren't decided about 20 min before park opening! I agree that standing is a must in this movie,although I do lean sometimes too! The storyline is very entertaining and ...shhhhhhh don't tell the kids....educational...Erich has remembered alot of it for a long time now.

Siiiiiiighhhh...I wish Disney would keep these two Classics up and running ALL the time!!!
