Wow, that's surprising. I'm glad I'm not on any of these current juries. Man, talk about responsibilities. I sat on a drunk driving case and figured it would be open and shut. But, after listening to the judges instructions, it was just plain boggling what could be allowed and what wasn't. It's hard to judge what each jury is hearing and making decisions based on whatever is allowed.
It's clear that we didn't hear and see the evidence that the jury did. I am happy for him. As to his guilt or innocence, I really wasn't sure one way or the other.
Wow, I am shocked too. I thought he did it, apparently the jury was not convinced. Don't think I could say I am happy for him. I listened to the phone conversation tapes between them. He was, at the very least, not a very nice person to her.
From what I've read the prosecutions witness' were pretty shady characters (which stands to reason either way, you don't hire a straight up guy to kill someone) and I guess they weren't always believable.
I thought I had heard that the man who said he was offered the money told someone else he was lying and then admitted he was lying or something like that. I can't remember the exact story as it was on in the background. Perhaps that had something to do with it.
