Rob, Cass & Kira - "This trip is NOT going to suck!!!"-A Fall 2013 PTR -updated 9/23

Great scrapbook pages Cass! My favorite picture is the one where Kira is eating a croissant. Sooooooo sweet! :cutie:

Those are just fabulous Cass. And Kira is just too cute. It makes me think back to Claire's little days too. They grow way to fast.

I finally did get packed for this weekend, but I'll tell you packing for a non Disney trip is just not as fun. I know we'll have fun, but it's going to be so different.

Thanks Jen! Yeah, it goes so fast doesn't it!! :worried:

Where ya going?

Wow, more great pictures. I love the one of Kira getting "saucy" with daddy before the parade. That expression was priceless!

Yeah, we have a lot of those kind of pics from that trip :rolleyes2

I think the last layout will be a meltdown/sass page :p

The pages are REALLY great, and I love that you post them! They are actually what got me motivated to start working on my (traditional) scrapbook for DS's first trip in 2011. :thumbsup2 I so wish I could do the digital thing because I think that would be a lot easier for me, but I have never been able to really figure it out, so I stick with my Cricut, stickers, and pages. :rotfl:

Glad I can provide some motivation :goodvibes

I sold my Cricut, my chalks, my stamps and a few other supplies but I still use my papers, stickers and other elements on other projects :thumbsup2

GREAT pages- once again!

I think that Aladdin kit is one of my all time favorites from Britt. Every layout I see with someone using it- I love. I love that Kira loved Aladdin so much too. So cute!

Also, if you don't mind me asking- what kit - if you remember- did you use on the Norway Princess breakfast? I really liked the colors and think it would be great not only for that but possibly Be Our Guest.. and I'm doing both in November... so it would be a good kit for me to add to my stash! :)

You are scrapping circles around me and my 2009 trip. I did vow to have it done before our November trip.. but man- I can't even keep up with my daily life scrapbook...so I never get to my 2009 Disney trip. (let alone the other trips!) hahahahaha!!! I WILL FINISH IT.

Well, I would be so behind if I was scrapping my normal life! :rolleyes2

Actually, I just do photobooks (no SBing) and I am behind in those! I still need to do 2010, 2011 & 2012!

But having this trip ahead of me has motivated me into doing the 2009 trip and I promised myself and I never break a promise ;)

It helps that I just bought a ton of new goodies from KB and I want to use them :p :cool1:

The Akershus layout is a mash up of several kits. The main one being Tale as Old as Time from Britt.

And then I used a few elements from Kelly's Happily Ever After and Cinderella and then also the title from her dining word art and a paper that I loved from her Disney Dining kit but I changed the paper colour to match my layout.

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

Great scrapbook pages Cass! My favorite picture is the one where Kira is eating a croissant. Sooooooo sweet! :cutie:

That darn croissant :sad2: It's in almost all those photos from that meal :rolleyes2 I didn't even realize it until much later too! That's how much she ate once those princesses came around :lmao: I think she took 2 or 3 bites of it once they were all gone and that was it :p

She was in a high chair back then so it wasn't convenient to get out of it when the princesses came around but this time she will be able to get up and go stand next to them ::yes::

Thanks for reading guys

Oh my goodness  She is so precious! :goodvibes
I don't think I've ever been so excited for a trip that I wasn't even going on! :rotfl2:

OMG Cass the pages you just posted are so beautiful I love the one with the hats , and our little sleeping beauty she is indeed so precious .
your at 199 days yeahhhh !!!!:thumbsup2

I LOVE your scrapping pages!!! I cannot wait until pre-registration/testing season is over at work so I can get back to my family album and to this Disney trip we just finished!! I have a "dream" that this summer I will get my room cleaned out/up and get shelving that the books actually fit on! ;)

I had to laugh at your post about the buses. My DH is just like you--he would rather drive, no matter what. I don't mind the buses, but I do not like for people to be close enough to touch me (I don't like that anyway--much less on a bus! :rotfl2:). BUT they are DS's FAVORITE part of WDW, so we try to split the car/bus travel!!

Can't wait to read more!!

What a bunch of characters

Last trip I made a special autograph book for Kira. I made the layouts in Photoshop and then had it printed out online at Shutterfly.

I usually wait until there is a sale and this time I was able to get 25% off. With the extra pages and shipping, it was about $40 total, which isn't bad actually. I went with Shutterfly because they have an 8x8 photobook which works out well. Not too big to lug around but large enough to have my design and the characters' autograph. :thumbsup2

I offer my designs to anyone who makes a $10 donation to Cassworld. :upsidedow

http://cassworld.ca/autograph.htm

I had one dad from the Netherlands who did a book for his daughter 2 years ago ask for some updates for his upcoming trip, so I added a few recently. He said that the characters loved her book and even wrote messages for other characters in it :lmao:

I took a video of the one I just had made so you can get an idea of what it looks like.

I think Kira will enjoy filling her book even more this time :cool1:

Click on the photo to watch the video :goodvibes

Sorry my finger was on the mic at the very beginning :p

Beautiful job on that autograph book Cass! You should seriously sell them. :thumbsup2

The autograph book is GORGEOUS!! That will be terrific in the parks!!

I love the book!!! It's gorgeous....very well done Cass :)

I was thinking of doing the same kind of thing. Much nicer than the ones you get at the shops.

Thanks for sharing with us all!!

That is an awesome autograph book! What a great idea. I can really see that the characters love the book. :thumbsup2

Love the autograph book! Do you make new ones for each trip?

I had Passports made on Shutterfly or one of those sites, using DISigns from the talented crafters on here, and they were awesome!

The kids really enjoyed getting them signed in all the different languages (most of them included their version of the kids' names, neat). And the people working the Kidcot spots seemed to enjoy the more unique passport book! It was a fun day!

And, I'm looking forward to the melt-down page from your album. :rotfl: IDK, maybe it's the 16 years working in child-care, but tantrums and tempers are just cute to me. (I know, it never feels the same when you're the parent dealing with it. Been there, done that.) But, I'm the person in Krogers who is smiling and making googly faces at the angry/crying kids instead of staring daggers at mommy/daddy. :lmao:

(If you let your 2-3yo walk 15 paces behind you in the parking lot, then you get the daggers.)

Oh my goodness  She is so precious!

Hahah too funny Allie! :lmao:

I think the hat one might be my fave so far :goodvibes

You know, I'm sure Kira would love the buses ::yes:: They are quite the adventure, especially to a kid :rolleyes2 :lmao:

Beautiful job on that autograph book Cass! You should seriously sell them. :thumbsup2

Thanks Jill! They wouldn't really be affordable to most people I don't think. Besides, cost plus shipping was over $40 alone and that was on sale!

Well, I made one back in 2009 and now for this trip. Not sure I would do one for every trip if we went more often but it's been 4 years so I think she deserves it ::yes:: ;)

Yes, I agree...if someone else's kid is having the meltdown/tantrum it IS cute and sometimes funny!

And honestly, she had the BIGGEST meltdown on the way to the port before our cruise that trip...it was INSANE and nothing helped! When Rob got back from checking in at the hotel upon arrival, he couldn't even talk over her screaming so we both just got out of the van, closed the doors and just chatted outside the van while she was finishing up  It was just sooooo ridiculous and overwhelming that we both just looked at each other and laughed!

We had another similar incident in the cruise terminal...I just started looking around like "Whose kid IS this???" :rotfl2:

And yeah, I shoot daggers to those kind of parents too :furious:

Hey Cass, just found your pre-trippy. You are getting on the Fantasy as we get off. I promise we will keep her ship-shape for you ;)

Oh, and, by the way, Kira is 6 - OMG, how did that happen. I remember seeing her baby pictures - seems like yesterday.

Your scrapbooking pages are inspiring me to experiment with digi-scrapping - since I never seem to get round to real life scrapping (mainly because I can't drag my bee-hind away from the laptop) :rolleyes2

And your plans sound great. I reckon not only is this trip NOT going to suck, but I think it's gonna be AWESOME!!

You reminded me of a favorite funny story (well, it's funny now that it is 10+ years in the past). On our first road trip with the kids, Em was five. We knew she got motion sick so we talked to the doctor about what we could give her. He said half of a Dramamine was fine. Great.

So, we gave her the tablet 1/2 hour before we leave. Pile in the car, and thus began the world's worst tantrum. I had never heard anything like it. (And Em was my "colorful" kid, I was used to some "anger issues".) But, this was just off-the-richter-charts anger, flailing, snot-and-tears, blood-curdling screams. Wohh! What is wrong with my kid???

She went on and on for 20 minutes straight, without taking a breath, then without warning, she stopped... and fell asleep :worship:
(But, it was like 8 a.m. and she had just slept all night :confused3)!!!

Matt and I are looking at each other, going... :confused3

Then, Matt has a  He pulls out the Dramamine bottle.

Yep, we didn't buy non-drowsy. :lmao: That stuff made our poor little girl flip her lid! :lmao: We felt like such incompetents. :rotfl2: :sad2: She slept for hours! :rolleyes1

A newbie popping in to check things out. I just started my Fall 2013 PTR and came upon yours.
I can relate to alot of what you say. Your DD reminds me of my 7 year old DD.
I absolutely LOVE the autograph book you posted. I'm wondering if I should get/make my kids a 'fancy' one this trip. Hmm. So much to think about for Disney trips.

I finally created a page to share. I always felt it was weird that I knew what you looked like but you don't know what I look like or my family so here it is.

Hope you don't mind:

Hi Joh!

Glad you found me :goodvibes

Yes, you guys have a lovely bunch of (coconuts? ) people on your cruise just before ours

Just make sure to save us some chicken strips okay?

Great autograph book. Wish I had one for Lucas and Kai. Oh wait.....I do!!!

Now you just need one for Brynn :thumbsup2 ;)
