Whats your experience? Whats your favorite thing on the menu? Can you substitute anything instead of the pasta salad? Any other information would be greatly appreciated!

We stayed at the WL during the summer of 2007. Roaring Fork has some pretty darn good sandwiches. I had a roast beef sandwich on departure day; it was the best sandwich I have ever had on site. In fact, it was second only to what is available at a NYC diner.

I don't eat pasta salad; IIRC I was able to get a bag of Lay's potato chips.

You can find the menu online; just do a search.

RF is not very big. The food service area is very small, probably about 20' x 20'. The seating area is not very big; it's smaller than most McDonald's. You can find a few tables in the hallway outside the seating area. Also, don't miss the tables directly outside the exit doors.

We stayed at WL Dec 07 and they had the best burger and fries. Made it fresh as we ordered it. We didn't eat at the restaurant part though. We brought it back to our room and watched the MVMCP fireworks at MK while we ate.

The made to order salads are very good.

The place is way too small for a resort the size of WL. The food purchasing area gets really crowded at peak times and seating is very limited. That's my only complaint with it.

That statement makes me very nervous. Ive booked a nine night vacation package in November.

How bad is CS area at WL, and will it ruin a vacation. We will start most everyday off at this place.

Should I consider other arrangements.:scared1:

Don't worry! It is small, but we were there in late July 2007 and had no problems at all, especially at breakfast time. We went there every day for BF, and we didn't wait more than a few minutes to get our food. We always ate outside at the tables or in our room.

I'm guessing that November (unless you're there during Thanksgiving) is not as crowded as July.

You'll love the WL!

Thanks iteachlit, thats what i needed to hear.
Nothing more frusrating than needing a fast pass for the Breakfast area and coffee re-fills.

Great burgers and a salad bar so you can add your own green stuff if you like it. All food is fresh and doesn't look like it's been sat there for ages drying out. We sometimes take the food back to our room but have never had a problem getting a seat if we do eat it there.

Yes, Roaring Forks is small and has limited seating, but if at all possible, go during non-peak meal times. Also, I have brought the food back to my room, which is fun especially if you're in the Villas. The RF has excellent burgers and pizza, and I believe they still have freshly made-for-you yogurt parfaits at breakfast. All in all, it's worth it to check it out... it's not always crowded, has a nice atmosphere, and good food :thumbsup2

Just stayed at the WL in June. Ate just about every breakfast at the RF, and a lunch or two. If you go early, like 7 am, right when they start serving hot breakfast, it's dead. We got down there one morning around 6:55 and there were like 3 or 4 people down there, and the tables were all empty. As we started finishing up, it started getting busier.

Most mornings, we just got our food and brought it up to our room and ate on the balcony.

They have the basic breakfast stuff, and it was fine.

For lunch and dinner, they have this AWESOME roast beef with blue cheese sandwich...OMG, it was so good! I didn't ask about subbing out the pasta salad. There was nothing else offered though. I tried it, it wasn't bad, but not the best either.

If you choose to sit outside, beware of the birds. They are not shy. One swooped down and took lettuce out of my DH's salad! Freaked my kids out so bad, we had to move inside.

We stayed at WL last December and again in May. We thought the burgers were great at RF, but weren't impressed with the Pizza. We are completely hooked on their chocolate crossiants for breakfast. We never found it to be overly crowded.

Thanks for all the great responses! It looks like we will make this a CS stop on our September trip!

I tried a chocolate croissant on our last morning, and it was AWESOME! With the fruit cup, it made a lovely breakfast!!
