It appears from looking at an old Disney map that when traveling on Epcot Center drive that you can keep traveling on this road and will intersect into World Center Drive to travel to Magic Kingdom and on the return trip it also appears to be ramp off World Center Drive to get back on Epcot Center drive and continue on toward I-4. Is this true on both regards? Thanks in advance.

I haven't looked at the road maps but keep in mind that some of these roads are "backstage" - for CMs only. You may not be actually able to drive them.

Yep, this is true! World Drive and Epcot Center Drive are two of the main thoroughfares through Walt Disney World :]

World Center Drive and World Drive are 2 different roads.
It is "World Drive" not "World Center Drive" that you are referring to.
World Center Drive (Rt 536) becomes Epcot Center Drive when you enter WDW property.
World Drive begins behind the MK and ends at Celebration.
Both World Drive and World Center Drive both intersect with I-4 but at different locations.

here's a current Map

Epcot Center Drive and World Drive (south of Epcot Center Drive) are not only open to the public, but are government roads (Reedy Creek Improvement District).

Note that there is no ramp from World Drive northbound to Epcot Center Drive. Traffic is forced right into Epcot.

The only roads that look usable on many maps but are actually semi-closed to guests are those north of the Magic Kingdom connecting to Reams Road (last I saw, they were marked for authorized vehicles only northbound, but allowing guests southbound) and the part of Vista Boulevard north of Live Oak Lane (this is inexplicably marked authorized vehicles only towards 535 only).

A couple corrections to this map:
Apopka Vineland is not SR 435. There used to be a couple signs for CR 435, but they're all gone now.

Winter Garden Vineland is CR 535 (this sign: commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Orange_County_Road_535_FL.svg ), not SR 535.

SR 536 only exists west of SR 535. The road between SR 535 and SR 417 is signed 'to 536'.

US 192 no longer uses those cool green signs.

Live Oak Lane is missing.

West on 536, say, coming off of Toll 417, after passing under the welcoming arches and the first group of exit ramps, get into the left lane and there is a bear left for Magic Kingdom, World Drive, etc.

While you are "forced into Epcot" heading north on World Drive and exiting onto Epcot Center Drive, tell the toll attendant you are headed to Downtown Disney or I-4 (if you want to get fancy, ask directions for that), then drive on and keep straight until you see signs for I-4.

Yes, just watch the signage.

From Epcot Center Drive bear left when it forks as previous posters mentioned, the ramp to take you to World Drive will be just ahead on the right.
Coming south on World Drive you'll take the first exit ramp you see, again bear left on this ramp when it splits so you can take it back to I-4.

I agree with the previous poster, but also don't be afraid to ask a CM. Only the major routes are clearly marked, so if you need to do something a little different, like turning around, knowing about a little side road can save you 15 minutes.
