Comfortable Dress
Shirt/Elastic waist skirt
Shirt/Black stretch pants (I have a pair of NY&CO city pants that I wear for dress or lounge depending on the top I wear with it.).
Shirt/Jeans - Not as often, usually a short road trip
I usually have a sweatshirt or sweater ready if I get cold.
I have two outfits from SAMs Club that are super comfy and nice for eating. They are a blue and drk gray Capri pant with pull over top. The material is very light sweats material, super soft and breathable. But, no tight waist bands, bathroom stops super fast and most of all I can sleep in too.
It was seperates not a set. I think it came in soft red and green color too. The shirt has a pouch in the front your hands slip into which I love when I'm trying to sleep. I have nerve damage and I can support my hands and arms with the little front pocket pouch.
Wearing a dress would be a good idea I really think a maxi dress or skirt mainly because I'm a passenger in the car and always notice truckers looking into the car from above
From what I have seen people wearing in public, how about a rumpled pair of pajama bottoms paired with ratty sheepskin slippers and a low cut tank top with your bra strap showing? Or if you're a man, super baggy shorts pulled down so low your butt cheeks are showing with one hand holding them up so you don't trip. Pair this with a douchey looking backwards baseball cap which you never remove, even indoors. Make a real fashion statement by adding a wad of tobacco in your cheek and use your other hand to hold your spitting cup, which preferably is an old Bud beer can.
Seriously OP, wear whatever you usually wear out in public. You don't need a separate wardrobe for car trips.
