Road Trip: Washington DC to Disney World

How long would it take? It's about 880 miles according mapquest. Would it be a nice trip or just a bit insane?

It would probably take about 12 hours. We drive from Southern Maine and it takes us about 23 hours. A lot of people may think that is insane!!!

We're leaving from Boston on Friday, the 13th, a 1,350 mile, 22 hour drive from Boston to WDW.
Our toughest part of the ride is from Boston thru Wasington D.C., the rest of the way is a long cruise.
It shouldn't take you more than 12 hours, that includes gas and bathroom stops. If you leave at 6 in the morning, you'll be checking into your Hotel at 6 that night.

Stafford to Disney ~ 12 hours straight through, stopping only for gas & breakfast.

I agree somewhere between 12-13 hrs depending how fast you drive or how many stops you make.

Thanks for the details! I think we might take this trip! We'd have plenty of time to do it so might take in a few sights. We'd leave Disney on a Thursday evening and would want to be in Washington DC by Saturday evening.

from Philly it takes me 19 hours staight through. It is 3 hours from Washington DC Zoo to Philly,that figures out to be 16 hours or so.

I am about 15 miles outside of DC. 13 hours straight driving, almost exactly, no stops other than gas and bathroom. That's without any major traffic problems.

WITH major traffic problems, add a couple of hours.
