Road app for road trips?

We're driving down from central Kentucky. Is there an app or website that shows where construction or other slow downs are going on?

I use "Beat the Traffic" with much success on our beach drives. Another convenient one for a road trip is "WhereTo?"...I use it to see what restaurants are available up ahead.

(These are both iOS...no idea if they are available on other platforms.)

I like Waze - free and interactive.

Waze will also show you speed traps as reported by others on the road.

If you want to find information about accidents and construction, many states have a "511" site available that you can pull on on your connected mobile device too.

I usually use these for planning my routes (to avoid most construction) in advance.

Very nice.

I think it would be cool to have a sticky at the top of the transportation page that lists nothing but these "511" resources. Would make it easy for folks who are planners, I think we have a few of those around here, to find the information for their drives.
