RO before FD in Oct.

The Pixie Fairy made a stop at my house!!!

So like many I booked a RO for 10/22 and then my FD package started on 10/23 (at CSR). Last week when the dates changed I was so excited to see 10/22 offered and tried to have it added to my FD package only to be told NOPE only suites available. So I've been checking the website every night and nothing. Tonight I check and BINGO, FD from 10/22 - 10/29 my entire stay. I called in a hurry and had my ressie adjusted. I don't know if people started to release on hold reservations because the 45 day mark is approaching or if they had rooms on hold for a conf. or something that they now release but it wasn't available last week and it is now

So.... if you were trying to add a RO to your FD package for that week keep checking!!

Thanks Habsfan, I know you were waiting for the same for your resort? I hope you get it. With any luck as that 45 day mark approaches people will release ressies. I would check daily. I checked this morning and it wasn't available and then suddenly later in the day it was.

So happy for you. I'm in the same boat I need 10/22 as well. The frustrating thing is that there IS room availabliity just not at the FD rate or at a AAA rate. I booked a studio at BCV back in Jan. for Nine nights @AAA rate. FD comes along and I can upgrade to 1BDRM for 7 nights. But I can't get the night of the 22nd and I can't get a AAA rate for the 1BDRM for the first two nights. Really Disney I am willing to give you more money but you don't seem to want it? I understand limiting discounts but when you are going to spend more it seems like they should open another room especially when it's not booked.

I am so glad it worked out, persistance pays!

I helped some friends plan their trip and their dates are the 21st to the 29th. Now they only have one room only night vs. two at the beginning of their package thanks to my disboarding and finding out about the added day.

On the flip side, other friends are going that same time, have 6 full serve meals planned plus all their cs and said "they don't feel like messing with calling". I mean they are already at CBR rack rate, our mutual friends will be there too, they are all eating together and when my other friends hand over their KTTW cards at the end of the meal and eat and for free, our other friends will haul out their wallets and pay full price for their meal to go along with thier full price room. Kills me, but I tried!

Buzzgirl, I understand your frustartion and I don't get it either. They would be making MORE money in your situation so why not?? Hope it works out!!

Amy, I have friends like that too. "O no" I would rather just pay, there is no reason they would give you a dinning plan for free, there must be something up". First they said, they heard the menu's for FD were not the same, then it was they heard you had to sit in a seperate section in the restaurant or that they only gave a certain number of people with FD reservations per day, lol. I cracked up at all of that and told them it wasn't true. Gave them web sites including this one to check and they still insisted on paying full price,lol. O WELL I tried. Like you said I'm interested to see what they say when they come back

Just a little update We got it. Yesterday, I was checking the WDW website for the 100th time and my extra day Oct. 22 came up for FD. I called ASAP and I got it!!!!! Now I only have a RO for one (FD doesn't start until the 22nd) But I don't have to worry about early ticket pick-up or anything. I'm so happy and relieved. Just love pixie dust and kind words of encouragement to be persistent from other disers. Thank you!!!

Congrats to you!! I'm sure you are excited. I think people must not pay off balances as the 45 mark approaches and those rooms go back into the pool.
