Hey everyone! Our thrill-seeking DD6 just officially hit 48 inches barefooted. We're all so excited for her to ride RnR on February 4th. I'm a tiny bit nervous though because she's pretty skinny (40 pounds). Just wondering if anyone had any personal experience with a 48 inch, but pretty thin child on RnR. :)
Thanks in advance!

My daughter was right around 40 pounds when she went on it. She was fine. (I was soo not. I was stressed the entire time thinking she would fall out.) But she did fine.

The force of the launch keeps you pretty secured in place. lol

Thanks SO much! This is exactly my (crazy) worry, but I was thinking the force would really help smoosh her into her seat.:rotfl:

Both my boys rode as soon as they were tall enough, too. No problems. Just remind her to keep her head back when it starts.

Last May my 8 yr old was finally 48" and around 40 lbs. and finally got to ride RnRC. He was fine and absolutely loved it. I just made sure he knew to keep his head back against the seat as soon as he got in the limo!

Skinny doesn't matter.

Keeping her head back and facing forward, and NOT MOVING, does.

Also, get on that ride FIRST thing in the morning. If she's right there at the height, a second ride might not work. The forces of the ride could smoosh her down enough that a re-ride isn't possible, height-wise. So make sure she's eating and drinking (water!) well through the day to keep her hydrated. Make sure she sleeps well. These will help make sure she hasn't shrunk down from dehydration in the intervertebral discs (we all shrink during the day thanks to gravity and the forces on us through the day). Then do the first first off, so she stands the greatest chance of being the right height.

Wow! Those are great tips! Thank you so much, bumbershoot! I have heard that riding first thing in the morning is a good idea, but I had never thought of plenty of sleep and staying hydrated. Thank you! That will be great incentive to get her to sleep as I know she'll be so excited.:thumbsup2
