RNR Refurb

Phew! My heart nearly sank as I was expecting this to be another addition to the first week of October closures in addition to the Dinosaur extension and BTMRR.

Closed our entire trip. I'm even more bummed about this than BTMRR.

Ok, so does Oct 27-Nov 9 means it opens on the 9th or it's closed through the 9th? We leave on the 9th, so if there's a chance we could run in to HS that morning before we head out, that would be spectacular. Not getting my hopes up or anything....

That stinks.

Doesn't that overlap with the BTMRR refurb? My friend is going in early November and it looks like both will be closed. That's just crazy.
YES it does overlap with this, and to be frank, it's getting ridiculous. When I booked FP+ reservations on Saturday for our trip, you could select RNR though, so is this refurb official from Disney?

Not sure if there has been official word from Disney yet. But they sure haven't had trouble in the past going into your account and taking FPs back out for last minute operational changes.

Wow, I feel for those going during this refurb. RnRC is one of our top 3 overall. HS isn't the same without it. All you have down in that area is ToT.

I will say this, MK didn't feel the same when BTMRR was down during our stay. Don't know why, but it had a big impact on how we tour and enjoy MK. It's kind of a signature ride at MK for us, so when it was down, the whole place felt different. Fortunately, it was still open the first MK of our trip this year, but not the other two.

Both BTMRR and IASW are closed when we are there. We ride BTMRR over and over...it's our family fave...and while we only ride IASW once, both are classic rides for us. I'm am concerned the park will not feel the same.

People are already complaining there is nothing to do at HS as it is..this is out of hand.

As for BTMRR that seems to be under refurbishment every time I go to Disney

RnR is my favorite. I noticed today when booking fp that it wasn't available and thought it was odd. My kids and I were so excited because finally everyone was going to be tall enough. ugghh:sad1:

wonderful. 10/27 is our HS day. DS was really looking forward to riding RnR.

I'm more upset, well not really upset as much as bummed, that Swiss Family Treehouse will be closed during my upcoming trip. I'll be there while BTMR, SFT, ISASW and Dinosaur are down. I've never even been on ISASW so no biggy, haven't ridden Dino in years too jerky for me so no problem, I love BRMR but things have to be refurbed so I'm o.k. with it but darn it, not my tree house. I haven't been on RNRC in years either, again too jerky and it gives me a head ache so I'm good with that but I have a feeling it is going to cause long lines at ToT. I won't be there during that time but if I were, I'd make sure to grab a FP for ToT and TSMM otherwise I'm betting they are going to have long lines. Thank goodness for F&W at Epcot.

It didn't ruin our trip or anything to not have BTMRR operating, but it did change the feel for us. Maybe it was the different routine without it? Either way, maybe go in with low expectations and hope for the best. MK is still incredible with lots to do.

Can you switch your HS day to earlier in your trip?

This almost gave me a heart attack. This is hands down my favorite ride at WDW and I would be sad if it were down my entire trip. Luckily it should be up by the last 5 days of our trip.

This is so dang upsetting! Our first trip to WDW and since we booked it, BTMR was scheduled to be down, sum of all thrills has died (my 11-year-old was SO EXCITED to try this), MSEP is ending before we are there, ROL did not pan out, and now the one thrill ride my husband and I were stoked about will be down. Does anyone think that Disney is expecting attendance to be down anyway, so they figure they might as well do all the work they can now? Or have they given up on fall or what?

Really disappointed, I don't know if we will ever have a chance to go back.
