RnR down for rehab during my trip :(

Had to vent. Bringing my brother and his new girlfriend (who has never been to Disney). How sad...hopefully it changes....down for rehab until the 10th of feb, we leave the 9th....

Jan 07-Feb 10, it's another disney discussion forum so I don't think I can post it here. It says tentatively, so maybe they are wrong...

I don't see it on that list.

I checked the WDW site & they don't have it listed on the Jan or Feb '07 calendar. I really hope it is open--it is DH's favorite ride.

The WDW calendar does list Splash Mtn. being closed during our January visit & we will just get to see Pooh before it gets refurb. Splash Mtn. was closed last Jan during our visit too.

I have called Disney 2 times about this and both (different CM) have said Absolutley not. That they get this information 6 months in advance in order to notify their guests. They said that it is NOT going down and they would for sure have had this information already as this is a main attraction. The assured me with no uncertaintity that it is NOT going to be closed for rehab. It's also NOT listed on Disney's official site. Both CM said they get this information before the people who work with the ride or in the parks.

That's great to hear....however....we all know that information from Disney CSR's are not always accurate. I am hoping that this time they are right, I am so dissapointed that it might be closed!!

I would think it would be in this case. They said they have a comp system they look at to see closures, also the disney site does not have it listed at all, but yet has other things listed people have mentioned. Splash Mountain, many adventures of pooh, typhoon lagoon. I have heard them say before when you book gave you a heads up on what will be under rehab especially since it was a major attraction. I am sure Disney is wrong on somethings, but seeing how RnR is a major attraction I would think they would already know about it rather than have people mad and complaining that they were not aware. Disney.com does not list it as closed, and the CM said it was NOT going to be. I am going to trust Disney on this one even if it's wrong will not change much just one thing we really wanted to get to try.

Hopefully it is a mistake or they will change the dates. I remember how disapointed we were when BTMRR was closed for one of our trips. It was the first trip DS would have been tall enough to ride it.

We had a lot of fun anyway though - LOL !!
