What do you real life friends think of the DIS? What do they think of your love for Disney? How do they compare with the people here?

Some of my friends think that I'm weird for liking Disney. But they deal with that; they can handle just about anything from me, now. Some of my friends DIS. They like this place, so they joined.

Now, if you said real life people, I would go on and on about how I wish DIS was school. I feel more accepted here, than I do there.

Eh, none of them care. They like Disney too, so it doesn't seem weird to them. My friend in RL are all about my age or older and we talk alot more about our lives and more personal stuff.

I feel the same. My friends think it's immature for me to like Disney, and they think it's weird I have friends on the DIS.

But honestly, I like it more here because like you, I feel more accepted, and I feel I can talk to you guys about more things than I can my RL friends. Some people in RL just umm...don't understand.

What do you real life friends think of the DIS? I don't really obsess over the DIS in real life. Ohhh Sinner!! I know... I knoww. But my friends go on weird forums like Zelda Universe and Broadway World anyways so they couldn't really make fun of me.
What do they think of your love for Disney? My love for Disney subsides over other things. It doesn't get brought up often. I know, Sinner, Sinner.
How do they compare with the people here? The people here could not ever compare with my RL friends. I'm sorry but you couldn't. A few of you are almost like my RL friends but I love my friends so much. No joke.

Most of my friends have never been so....I'm kind of a loner, lol. My closest friends accept it as a part of me (its just part of who I am.) and the others.....just don't get it. lol. My boyfriend has never even rode a roller-coster So...Yeah. I would love to take them there and just show em' what they're missing.

My best friend Chelsea is like the only one of my friends who knows I DIS. I didn't think the other ones would care or be interested...so....I never talk about it with them. BIG SIN; I KNOW!!!:confused

I like the people here b/c I feel like I can speak my mind with my friends here....With my RL friends, I am sometimes overshadowed. I'm more of a typer than a talker, lol. ♥

Don't get me wrong. I love my friends. It's just difficult to run up to them, and be like, "Did you see that Hidden Mickey in Peter Pan?!" They often wonder how I'm observant about things like that.

It's easier to come here, because we all have a common interest - Disney. Our friendships blossom off of that. Heck, I met my "sister" on here. She understands me on a level that my friends can't reach.

It's really complicated.

Bottom line: It's easier to talk here, because of our interests.

What do you real life friends think of the DIS? some of them know.. others don't. Those who know don't really care that i post here. They think it's cool, but and would join but can't because their parents block forums.
What do they think of your love for Disney? Ha, my 2 amazing best friends love disney almost as much as i do. But my friends know my love for disney and deal with it.
How do they compare with the people here? i know everybody claims their friends are amazing.. but mine really are. i honestly am not sure if i can say that the people on the dis are better than my RL friends.

i agree and disagree. one minute i feel accepted and part of the boards; the next i don't. If i am gone for 3 days, a fight could break out, people can side, and it be resolved with everyone closer to each other by the time i get back. Everyone is wonderful - don't get me wrong - but i can't say i've made tons of friends on the dis when i've made a few. (...that was not a self pitying paragraph, it's a realization that i have made that i am ok with.)

Only a few of my friends know of the DIS but they don't ask about it.Most of my friends at school know I love disney. I get teased by one of my best friends and a few of my guy friends.
I think my friends don't mind it since I don't talk disney with them because they haven't been a lot and just aren't into disney.

My two best friends want to go to Disney this summer and want me to be there tour guide since I know so much and am such a fanatic.I like it because none of my friends are HUGE disney fans,so it feel's good to actually have something that I can just talk about with other people(you guys).Most of my friends all have the same things to talk to the same people(stardoll,myspace,facebook,etc.) so that gets kinda boring lol.

i personally think that it's just because no one sees each other. now i'm not saying anyone on here would judge people because of what they look like, but what it sounds like to me is that we're more accepting of each other because we aren't all being jealous little itchesbay and gossiping about each other.

that's the main difference between here and RL.

Nah I won't. My friends don't really know either, but a few do. Don't get me wrong I love my friends...they just aren't the same as you guys. Not that any one group is way better than the other one. I love all my friends, just here it feels more comfortable.

she is a disney addict just like me, when we get going about Disney people just slowly back away.

i don't really talk about the dis much with my other friends.

most of my friends know about my family's obsession with Disney, it's not a problem.
