Way to go on resisting the cheeseburger temptation. That is great! I don't think the salad was too bad and like you said you were dipping into the dressing!

Like Chris said, I am sure that you will have a great time with a house full of family, but also be glad when they leave. That way you can get some rest and relaxation in!

thanks for all the support ^^;; Yeah i decided that if at work i ever get the munchies again, i will get a salad with only chopped romain and the chicken (what im paying for anyways) they only use 1/2 the chicken breast anyways. That and eat it with no dressing at all! :cool1:

Family wise, i like everyone! and it's a great distraction to be able to go out and take walks etc going shopping. But it's kinda bad cause we go out to eat a lot more often, and so many more eyes on my eating. Though i only have one complaint! my aunt that recently arrived from montreal here for 2 days, has a daugher (my cousin) she used to be chubby but then lost a lot of the weight. My aunt constantly "reminds" everyone how small she is compared to me and it bothers me. My cousin is 5feet tall. I'm 5 feet 9. There is obviously a difference even if i weighed 100 pounds. Last night the saying that made me mad was "Yea when i stand behind her, you can't see me, if (cousin) stood behind her, she'd be completely lost *instert laughing here*" As well as saying that out of all the cousins, her daughter is the smallest etc etc etc. If she makes one more joke about my weight i will kill her.

ARGHS!! *mumbles* i will not commit murder, i will not commit murder
 
Ahh, ya gotta love the family!!! Don't worry about their remarks, I'm sure they don't mean any harm. Maybe ask your cousin how she succeeded in losing the weight! I'm sure she might have some tips for you.

There is nothing wrong with scheduling an after work snack. I do it all the time because I know I am going to be hungry for something! I try to eat either fruit or cottage cheese or string cheese. The snack habit is a hard one to break, but you can do it!!! :cheer2:
 
Tired, hw has been hell this week, i dont' understand half of it or i'm getting answers that are really off. Today, i'm going to get in a nap, even if i have to skip work to do it. I sleep 4-5 hours a day, and i work more than i sleep.

Wow i went shopping today and bought lettuce, came home and made a salad and it looks delicious. I actually cannot wait for dinner to come. For dessert i took out the seeds of some grapes. I added a egg and some tomato's for protein and color so i wouldn't get bored. I'm still in major snacking mood but i'm much happier now. I got through class, and looking forward towards having saturday off and no school for the next couple days. Sunday is weigh in :earseek: So i better get my bum on track for the last three days.

I need more fiber, i will eat fiber even if it kills me to do so. I dislike the taste of the fibred foods i have now. I think i'll look into taking metumucil the fiber pill. Or buy some all bran bars.
I got the munchies again but only took 2 bites of sugar free pecan bar and forced myself to eat 1/2 of a banana bread quaker oats bar.
 

Last weekday until the weekend. On sunday i'll be doing a 1 km or 5 km walk. Probably the 5km. I woke up slightly more refreshed and am feeling a lot better. Still short on time though, haven't had much of a chance to post/read journals :guilty:

Lunch held very well at work, i ate around 1:20pm and it held me longer than 5:20, though i got a huge craving for pizza so i'm going to have some lean cuisine pizza. Pretty good. :goodvibes

Had my shower and some delicious dessert. I feel a lot better now, had a chat with b/f and we worked things out so he's coming over tomorrow. We may go see serenity during the workers private screening. I think if i get the munchies tonight i'll snack on some grapes or bamboo shoots (white bamboo sliced and pan fried with soy sauce and garlic, very delicious) :rotfl:
 
Whoo hoo it's the weekend, Time to pig out! okay no just j/k. I think i better not pig out too much, cause it takes me too long to get back into the habit of healthy eating after the weekend of whatever i want. :goodvibes I'm so happy though, today is my day off! no work, no school to think about. Just hanging out, sleeping, watching t.v. :cool1:
Bad thing about the weekend, EATING OUT!!! there is always eating out on the weekends with my family. As well as going shopping and finding snacks. My grandparents, aunt and daddy are going to las vegas from sun - thurs, so there will be less going out and less eyes on my diet. :cool1:

I'm really happy about this break, cause i think lately i've been so overworked i've gotten extremely disoriented. I have an attention span of a gnat as well though, last week at work i got so disoriented selling tickets, i was restarting my computer, resetting my printer, cause i saw 2 people and assumed i had sold 2 tickets, which i had only sold one. And then i got confused with the 5 dollars in my hand and had no idea if i had just gotten it or was about to give it. Oo needless to say the guy left thinking i was extremely incompetant. AT least that was better then the times i stand door (rip tickets) and was so zoned out, the first thing i thought when someone gave me a ticket was "who are you, where am i, and what do you want for me"

My thumb is getting bad again, i have this habit, of when my thumb itches i keep scratching, and biting and chewing it till the skin becomes hard, then when i bend it it, it cracks to the flesh or i peel it and it's an open wound. It's really bad and takes a month or so to heal after that. I will not peel it, i will not peel it.

Weighs in is on sunday, though i've snuck on the scale today (182pounds) in the morning. i should be down around 1-3 pounds this week. Can't wait to find out if i did! :banana:

I'm bloated, i feel absolutely disgustingly full right now. I had the brushetta first, ate half then i ate the mashed pumpkin. Then i decided to have meatloaf with the two cashew pucks, while i waited i (peeled?) crab for my mom and had a couple bites. And then ate the cashew pucks, then the meatloaf and then the fudge pop. I feel like i'm going to burst. I should of never eaten the meatloaf that was a bad bad bad idea. I love to snack and to try everything that looks good. That's my problem, i can't wait, i have to eat it. *sighs* Ken is coming over soon, going to ask him to take me for a nice long walk. Tomorrow will be the walk for breast cancer and then 7 hours of work.

Sunday:
In the morning it was raining and i felt like crap all day. Ended up a) not going for the run and b) having to call in sick for work. I stayed home in bed an watched korean vcd's and snacked all day ;-;

I will get this exercise in, i'm planning on going for a run or at least walk around the block for 15 minutes at least either after school or before work on monday.

Weigh in results:

Jamie: I sadly couldn't make it ;_; but i'm going to make up for it by doing some walking/running around the block for the next couple days.

It's almost been a month now and so far results are good. I've lost 6 pounds in the past 3 weeks and havent' had any soda pop. Although i'd have to say that i'm snacking way too much on the weekends, but then again that's what they are for right? Back to business!

Just finished all my hw. I seriously considered not going to school today, but then i remembered how i used to skip and how that's gotten me into the position i'm in today so i got off my ***, did my hw and am ready for school. This week my dad, grandpa, grandma and aunt on the paternal side all went to vegas till thursday. Just so you know, my dad is the primary cook in the house so basically we're living off instant stuff for awhile. :rotfl: Today's meal plan look good, put in a low cal brunch cause i always get hungry between 10-3pm. I eat breakfast around 7am, bring a snack to school. Get home at around 10am, but try to wait until around 3-4pm to eat or else i'll get too hungry at dinnertime which is around 8-9pm.

Took a nap today between school and lunch so i held out very well, didnt' even need the brunch i had scheduled. The udon wasn't that great though, tomorrow i think i'm going to have some soba. I'm going to sleep early so i can wake up tomorrow to do hw. Didnt' have time to do much exercise today, but i think tomorrow's 8 hour long shift at work will be plenty of exercise. :Pinkbounc

Thank you very much! I have been doing that to myself lately, thinking "do you really want that, and feel bloated and naseated for the next couple hours" I'm actually much prefering being hungry than being bloated and sickenly full.

Woke up feeling sick again. Had a migraine headache and felt naseous with the eating of anything. Had my advil which prompted nasea and then called work and a girl at school. I think my migraine headaches are due once again to aspertame. I used to drink diet pepsi by the litre, eat sugar free things and then one day i started getting these horrible headaches. Well after i stopped eating aspertame the headaches went away. No more sugar free gum/yogurt/candy/anything for me. My original plan is kinda wiped now because of this. But that's allright, i still have many real sugared foods around even if they are higher in cals.

Wow, the sandwich is very high cal. I was thinking it would be in the lower hundreds. Well no more timmy ho's for me then. I'm feeling a lot better. Tomorrow i'm going to go to work and no matter what i have to work every single day this week to make up for my 16 hours of work i missed. I'm running out of lean cuisine so i have to stock up soon. That and i no longer can rely on sugar free gum to tide me over. Most gums are sugar free as well, so i'll probably have to buy hubba bubba or something along those lines. :guilty:

Today is going to be my first day back at work, i'm glad to finally be going back. My grandparents and tow will be coming back tomorrow so the house will be a lot more busier again and more eating out. Well they'll all be leaving in a couple weeks. I would really like to get down to 175 by end of october. that's around 7 pounds away. So i must be good and stay away from those timbits! ;-; sour cream glazed is my favorite but for a tiny little ball it's 90 cals each. :earseek: I'm feeling better today, i think i'll go out for a walk if not, i will walk around at work on my break after eating.

Just went out and had lunch/dinner outside. Yummy i had a vietnamese sub and then got a craving for chocolate so i bought some malted balls and 2 swedish fish. Exactly 6 malted balls. xD $1.66 for 136calories. Fair trade. After work it's going to be time to hit the books, then the hay. I'm still going to bring dinner to work, but i'll only eat it if i'm hungry. :Pinkbounc

Just signed up for the october exercise challenge! I'm going to aim for 500 minutes, 25 days of 20 minutes of hula hoops. I must exercise! I've barely done any at all, besides running up the stairs to get something. I snuck on the scale and i'm 182 pounds!!!! Maybe i can hit 180 by sunday. 180 is my usual plateau, i've given up many times after 180 and only succeeded once in passing it. I'm going to try my very best to get to 179 by next week. :goodvibes
 
You are really doing very well. Congrats on losing those 6 pounds!!!!! That is really awesome - especially since you have gone out to eat quite a bit. See, it just shows you that you CAN do it! Keep up the good work and you'll be down by the end of the month.

Girl, you absolutely kill me!! :rotfl2: Where does ketchup fit in with toast and cheese? Do you eat the ketchup on the toast or dip your cheese in it?? Or do you suck it out of the package straight?? How is the weather there? I have had trouble getting off my butt and walking, even though the weather has been perfect! Send me some motivation, please!!! :flower:
 
Rizel -- So glad you are feeling better. I can relate to the killer headache thing! It makes a big difference in how your day goes, doesn't it?

You had me cracking up with the bread, ketchup & string cheese thing -- how does one come up with that combination? :rotfl:

Toast the bread, spread ketchup on one side of the bread, shred the cheese string and then put the shredded cheese string on the bread and toast it again. It tastes kinda like pizza! :cool1:

I think there's another discrepancy in my paycheck. I semi remember working a lot, but the paycheck isn't reflecting that. As well as this paycheck i should be an extra 59 dollars up from the mistake last paycheck. *sighs* now i have to go in to grab my paystub to figure out whats going on.

10 minutes on threadmill, i alternatly ran for 15 seconds, 45 seconds of walking. I got winded after 2 minutes :rolleyes: that shows you just how in shape i am. I burned 38.4 cals and walked 0.51km. I think i'll hop on the threadmill again sometime after work!

Nice and chilly here, i took out my mid thigh long black wool jacket. :goodvibes I still remember that i've always wanted one, but figured i'd never get one my size but i did! If i get to 2/3's of my goal by janurary i can buy another one my size for 1/2 off. Ooh and if i lose some pounds by boxing day, i can actually go shopping! (always been kinda tomboyish, i stick to shirts and pants, it's not to say i dont' like nice clothes. I just dont' like finding out i dont' fit in them.) Maybe i'll buy some nice dress shirts for interviews etc or something. This pb/honey sandwhich is really quite filling. I had half and i'm done. oO i'll save it to munch on at school. :banana:

I got kinda suckered into working today ;_; *sobs* Oh wellz maybe i'll be able to pawn off a shift later on. My b/f is going to come over soon so we can drop off my van for my dad at the airport and go out for lunch. Today i think i'll have a salad or something. I'm going to move my brunch to dinner and then cancel a couple snacks so i can have more calories to eat lunch with. :Pinkbounc My paystub looks about right, i guess i didn't work as much as i though i did.

I got frusterated today at work, and i ate. I didn't need it but i ate it. I got a tortilla w/ lettuce, cheese and sour cream from taco bell. And then i put my lean cuisine in it, so i had a nice wrap with rice and chicken. It was good but very very high cal. I didn't need it, i wasn't hungry and i didn't even like it. I even ate some popcorn after. Iunno why. I'm tired of work and i don't want to work anymore but i have too. Oh wells tomorrow is another day. I really want to try for 180 by the end of this week.

I had forgotten how much I love PB and honey!! :love: I may have to make a trip to the grocery store today...

We are cold here, too! :cold: I had to bring out the heavy coats for the kids this morning. It was 34 degrees with a windchill of 24!! The wind is really whipping!

I hope that you get your paycheck straightened out. It is so frustrating to have your pay messed up.

Hi, Rizel! So glad you are feeling better. And your food choices look good! Good job, kiddo. Sorry your paycheck is messed up -- what a hassle. My theory is sometimes the people messing up are so resistant to fixing their mistake and hope that if they make it enough of a hassle for you, you'll just figure it isn't worth it!

The ketchup and string cheese thing actually sounds pretty good. I'll have to try that. If I use the light wonder italian I think it would only be 2 or 3 pts total. Ooooh, and your PB and honey sounds great too. I think that is one of the meals recommended for people training for distance events. YUM!
