I couldn’t find a Riviera thread to ask this in, sorry if I missed it.

When riding the Skyliner from the Riviera to HS I understand that you have to get off at CBR. Do you have to head to the end of the HS line at CBR?

To rope drop do you think it would be more beneficial to just walk to the CBR Skyliner station and start there?

Yes, you have to get off at CBR and go to the back of the line to get to HS. Doesn’t matter if you walk to CBR or ride there, the line will be just as long to get to HS. And it is long!

You will have to go to the end of the line but it moves quickly and it is only long in the mornings prior to park opening. Other than early morning, we never had to wait more than a minute or two...

Since Riviera is a DVC only resort, the Riviera thread can be found in the DVC Resorts area.

I am staying at Riviera in June and just plan to walk, what looks like, the approximate 15 minutes to the CBR skyliner station to avoid a second wait. It might not save much time, but I probably will enjoy the early morning walk.

I walked to the CBR station, for Studios days. It was an advantage as long as you were early enough to beat the groups coming in from Pop/AoA and Epcot.

We were there this past week in a room next to the Riviera station. For a 9:00am HS opening they were allowing guests to go from the Riviera to CBR station around 7:45. We were in line on Tuesday morning at the CBR hub and the first few Riviera skyliner folks were merged into the middle waiting section. They were not sent to the end of the line. Same with the first few groups that came from the Pop/AoA line. The skyliner started running to HS at 8:00am.

Thanks everyone. Walking is what we decided to do and I am glad we did. We were there before the POP/AoA line started running so we had a jump on them, and the Riviera line hadn't even started running yet by the time we got on the Skyliner to HS, which was around 7:50. This was this past Monday.

Sorry, a quick hijack.....can you ride to the Epcot station when the Riviera line starts running? Even if Epcot doesn't open till 11:00?? We were thinking about going to the Boardwalk for breakfast.

I don't think so because Epcot opens much later. Unfortunately, you can not see the skyliner hours of operation on the website but they are posted at the stations. Depending on where you are staying, a rideshare will be your best option.
