So you'd buy it new/direct if you were absolutely sure you'd never sell your points, right? But even then, its relative value just isn't there unless you somehow are so enthralled with Riveria as a resort that it's the only place for you.I don't get why anyone would buy any RIV points new or resale.
They're actively selling, I think 6, older resorts now on the website with incentives. Check it out.Yes I want 200 direct points for some benefits and ability to book at new resorts but I really don't think I can stomach those Riv restrictions.

Interesting. 555 points right off the bat is great. Are they all at BLT?I got 155 BLT direct yesterday as a new member.
I have 2 x 200 point contracts going through resale.
With incentives? I know they always sell all resorts but usually don't give incentives on "sold out" resorts. They told me today they have points at every resort available. I suspect GCV is off limits but didn't even ask.

I know this will never happen, but it'd be awesome if they did something where, with these new rules, you could buy X points direct and cover that many resale points into direct, if that makes sense. I know they won't do it, but I'd like them to.
I just took another look at the point chart. I wouldn’t pay $60. Maybe $45. I’m dead serious.I would pay about $60 for Riviera Resale I think. If it had the CCV point chart and MFs I’d pay $80-$85, but it doesn’t.
If anything ever happens to the skyliner you just have another bus only resort, but unlike the others, this one comes with sky high MFs, an oppressive points chart, and no ability to stay elsewhere.
