Just spoke with my guide. Found out riviera direct prices are increasing Jan 2020. Can’t remember the exact date. I think he said on 1/29/2020 it will be increased from $188 to $193 per point. Both Aulani and riviera.

I hope this is *only* Riv and Aul, at that!

Given that the current Riv incentive expires January 28, 2020, it flows with the 29th it would then increase.

I don’t know, I had a guide a week and a half ago say that Riviera was going up in price on Dec 16th, clearly that hasn’t happened 🤷🏼‍♀️

It will be interesting to see the sales from November. I’m surprised.

The incentives were not enough for us to push the "go button" at $188 a point. We did not really look into it until October this year. We probably missed the best stuff. They must be selling decently well if they are going to remove incentives and increase the price. I think we may buy resale at Copper Creek, unless some unbelievable incentive came up.

It's going up to $195 on January 29th. Aulani will do the same but will have much bigger "incentives" so it'll still cost less.

Since they're increasing the direct price more than the inflation rate, again. I'd say they're not too concerned about sales and how resale restrictions are affecting them. I don't think the resale restrictions are going anywhere.

They are here to stay, moves like this only solidify that fact.

Yes, I agree. Remember Disney does not want Rivera sold out before they can start direct sales for Reflections, as that would leave them only with Aulani to push.

So, there is no rush until then, espcially since they have lots of options to adjust things down the road,

I'm thinking they believe that the resort opening will really boost sales and if it doesn't they are in a position where they can alter the incentives at the time of the price increase to negate the increase. I think the resort opening will give them a boost. How big and for how long is the question.

I know this will never happen, but I would love to see some incentives for add-ons of 100 points. I know they are trying to lure new buyers with bigger point contracts, but for those of us who would only consider a small add-on, the incentives don't seem very enticing. ($300 off on the 125 - 150 range is almost nothing)
