Riverside vs. Caribbean

I haven't stayed at either of these two resorts. I am planning on going to WDW in the spring to finally do Flower and Garden. Which should I stay at? You should know that distance is of no importance to me. I don't care how far I am from the front desk, but stop, pool, etc. One of the things I love about WDW is all the walking and running I can do. I've heard that Riverside has really beautiful landscaping, especially nice in the Spring. How about the Caribbean? What's the landscaping like there? What buildings do you recommend at either of these resorts? Which one was renovated more recently? As always, any information all of you knowledgeable Disney-ites can provide, will be greatly, greatly appreciated. THANKS in advance!

Based on your needs I would just pick the one with the theme and look that appeals to you.

We prefer POR. Better food court, a bit smaller, boat to DTD which is awesome. CBR's main pool was better, but everything else we preferred at POR. We had bad luck with CBR's buses last year and it also has 7 bus stops compared to POR' 4 which is more time consuming. Aesthetically, they were both nice but preferred the lush look at POR over the tropical feel at CBR. Just a personal preference. Also, the only bar at CBR is an outdoor one so if the weather is cold or rainy, there's a chance it won't be open. The lounge at POR was nicer and larger.

The resorts are both large and both nice. CBR rooms have all been recently renovated except for the pirate rooms which they are currently working on. The landscaping at both is very nice, Port Orleans has more of the southern feel and CBR has that Caribbean feel. Really it depends on what you are looking for.
