Riverside or French Quarter?

Hi all,
I apologize if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find the info. I was looking on D. Wills site and the Riverside buildings look so much smaller and look like they would be quieter than the FQ buildings, especially the Alligator Bayou bldgs.

I just made reservations at POFQ, but I would attempt to change if I could verify that the POR rooms are more quiet. Any info on which area is more quiet, or other considerations which might make one choose one resort over the other would be greatly appreciated!!

I have stayed at both and am totally biased to POR. We always stay in the bayou section. It is quiet and peaceful. The garden views are lovely. There are many garden views at POFQ, but unfortunately we had a parking lot view with folks moving into their room at 1 AM. If you choose POR, request bayou buildings 14, 15, and 27. If you are a smoker, request 18.

I also vote for POR as being more quiet. It also seems to have less children (don't know if it's my imagination or not). Maybe it's just because POR is bigger than FQ.

I can tell you that different people have different opinions-any way you can stay at both? Hey, how about going twice and try out both so you can decide? Honestly, that's what DH and I have done. We've alternated between POFQ and POR. He prefers POFQ, I prefer POR. And we both think "our" resort is quieter and more peaceful!

Thanks so much for the help. LOL at Simba's mom response ---you each think "your" resort is the quietest and more peaceful!?!

I'll only be staying for 5 nights so I think we'll just try one. I have already switched to POR. But since so many of you have had positive responses about both, it sounds like you really can't go wrong whichever you choose.
