Hello!

Just when I thought I was done with my ADR's (again) I found this. Is this really a CS??? I am short 1 CS meal so I am thinking about this ( I like the pasta & salad idea). I am hoping to go here on the day we go to MGM, is it even close??? Is there transportaton from MGM to POR??

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks :)

The food at POR is very good, much better than at MK, MGM or AK in my mind. You can take the bus from any park to POR and then the bus from POR back to any park.

The food court at POR was fine and sometimes even good, but I wouldn't make a special trip there for it. We actually liked the food court at POP better, but maybe we didn't order the right things at POR :goodvibes . Just thought you might like a second opinion. Are there any good CS places at Boardwalk? Isn't that only a boat ride or walk away from MGM?

If I was going to a resort for counter service, it would either be CSR or POP (using DDP credits). CSR is the best one, IMHO - a lot more choices than POR.

MGM doesn't have the most wonderful CS, so it's not a bad idea to hop somewhere else for a CS lunch. However, as a PP mentioned, the food at POR is pretty good, but not great. Also, even with good bus service, you may end up spending a lot of time traveling to and from the park.

That being said, eating lunch at another resort is a great way to experience other places at Disney. POR is a lovely resort and a good place to relax before heading back to MGM. If you get off at the main depot, it's about a 3-5 minute walk to the food court from the bus stop.

If you aren't staying at POR, I certainly wouldn't make a special trip for the food courts! It wasn't anything special.I would walk over to Beaches and Cream or the BW!

I normally walk over to the BW also for something - usually a slice of pizza. The BW isn't a bastion of great counter service restaurants either.

Now, another place you can go is to Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. That is a nice place. Or Pop - terrific food court. Downtown Disney - Wolfgang Puck Express, Earl of Sandwich, etc. I just can't think of any reason to go to POR for food when there are better options (POR is fine, but others are better). You could go to Epcot, just a 20 minute walk away (or boat ride), and eat at Morocco. At Coronado Springs, they have fajitas and steak at the food court. Lots of great choices there, though a little more confusing format.
