The Rivers of Light rumors are wreaking havoc on my AK plans. I have a 4:30pm Boma reservation on our AK day. We will be there over Thanksgiving week. Do I keep it? Cancel it? If ROL happens, any ideas what time it will be? Also, can we still see the Tree of Life Awakenings if we keep the ADR?

So in all honesty does anybody really think ROL is going to happen before the end of the year? I keep getting excited, then disappointed over and over and I just don't know what to think anymore!

I would make no plans dependent or around the possibility of it happening.

we will be there 11/12 - 19 and I am at the point where I just don't care anymore; have been hoping since I booked the trip in late April. we will be at AK on the 14th, if there was a soft opening, great, if not, lots of other things to do.

we need to make ADRs 180 days out, FP+ 60 days out, park hours change last minute; just too difficult to make changes your itinerary

Anyone heard of an anticipated open date for ROL?

We won't be there until Feb., but honestly I don't even care anymore. Disney has a way of taking so long to open a new attraction that all the anticipation is gone before it's actually open. I find myself actually getting bored with the idea of most new attractions simply because it takes so long for them to come to! Maybe I am just being a scrooge! LOL.

I'm not holding my breath on any opening dates, lol. I'm at the point where I'll believe it once I see the show opened and in action. Also after the Jungle Book show, I've lowered my expectations for this show. That way, if it's really good, I'm pleasantly surprised! And I'm one of the few who enjoyed the Jungle Book show.

If they DID, you can bet it wouldn't still be a "secret" stuck in an under-10-post thread on this board.

;)

Yeah, there will be 8 separate threads on this board, 5 on the restaurant forum asking about dining packages, and a couple on the rumors board about the possible firing of the person in charge of it.:earboy2:

I am going in January, and I am trying to figure out everything before my 60 day fastpassing. If ROL is open, do we know if it will run every night? Or will it only be on certain nights?

Our trip is the first week of March and I haven't considered ROL or Pandora in any of our AK plans and our FP+ window opens up New Year's Eve. It would be nice, but we won't be disappointed if they aren't up and running.

Nothing.

If it is open I can't see any reason why it wouldn't run every night. AK is hurting for people at night.

We can ask this question a million times and you will get answers but the only answer is NO one here knows. There are plenty of guesses and sharing of guesses .... and eventually it will happen and fall into one of the guesses but .......... Disney messed this up big time and no one who knows the truth is going to leak anything this time around. Plan around it, when it opens it opens.

With Robo. ::yes::

YES.

Because until it opens and runs well and runs back to back ... it's still not fully open. And I'm with you on expectations at this point, we don't even know if when it opens it's the spectacular they originally planned, it might be dumbed down due to their "issues." I mean 7 mos later it still has logistic problems... And there clearly were elements of it in JBA, which were not positives.

No. No one knows. We don't know if it will be every night or just some nights. We don't know if it will run 1, 2 or 3 times night. We don't know if it will run different amounts on different nights. We just have to wait until it opens and has a schedule.

I think the odds are that Pandora will open before Rivers Of Late!lol:)

:rotfl2:

PS I think that would be persons.

We will be there 11/29 and our plans are to get to the park sometime after RD and before lunch. We will knock out the shows and some rides and see the Tree lighting. If there is no RoL we will probably head over to Disney Springs for a meal and some shopping. If for some freak cosmic stroke of luck there is a RoL show we will be there.
