Rivers of Light Dining Package Lookout Thread - NOW ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS

Ugh I hope you are on to something. It's gonna be an amazing show from what I can tell. The ROL page on WDW now actually tries to search for available times but still comes up with nothing. I bet we all check 30 times a day! Lol

Thank you!! I'll be there in May and would love to know if I can book a dining package <3

Another bump to keep this on the first page. Seems like FP+ and dining packages must be coming soon - April 22 is only a month away!

I feel like they will post the schedule changes before they post the dining packages. Of course, most of us with upcoming trips were keeping out for both anyway...

Do most of you think dining packages and FPP's will come out around the same time? I'm looking for sometime between when ROL opens and May 1 but would prefer to just use a FPP instead of spending money on a dining package if possible. I'm hoping they release both at the same time but haven't seen much talk about FPP other than "it'll almost certainly have it".

I plan to book a package if the FP+ is not available when those are released. I may cancel the package if I snag a FP later, though. Depends on price of package and what restaurants are available. Hoping for Tiffins (don' think it will be open in April, though) or Flame Tree.

Any chance of a "soft opening" just for the show? We will be there April 12-18 so an early opening would be great

go look at the link MaryJ posted in post #148 above. That will give you more details about preview shows.

The preview shows are said to be hard tickets (you pay to attend), not soft openings. A soft opening would probably not be announced.

We have our AK day set for May 1st! Hoping to get the dining package. Come on Disney where is the "Pixie Dust?"

I don't understand why in the October calendar, the closing is still early for AK. They know this show will be there, why not post the late hours now?

Late hours will begin sometime in April but until it's announced Disney is choosing not to release any late hours which I fully understand. Can you imagine how the phone lines would light up if people whose trips are 5 and 6 months off could more easily plan their trips than those who are only weeks away? My thought is that once they announce the new AK hours they will announce them for all dates that currently have published hours.

I'd like to think they'd care about this... But they don't appear worried about making planning AK portions of the trip nearly impossible for those of us going in Apr!

They have to know hours and show times for late Apr by now -- by all accounts (official and not) they are set on Apr 22 opening. This is pretty ridiculous at this point.
