I know there is a whole thread on this but its super long and I tried reading some and there are lots of posts straying from the topic. I know you cannot book it yet and there may be dining associated with it? Are we thinking Tusker house? Any meal, just dinner? We have breakfast there and I'm hoping we can see ROL when were there. Also do we have any idea what times they will be held? Im guessing it needs to be dark for this? I'll be curious to see more info on it.

With long threads it's usually easiest to start with the most recent posts and work backwards.
The advice Disney is giving is to watch the Disney Parks Blog for updates, no firm details at this time.

Thank you for this info. Im excited to see that breakfast at Tusker is included. I have already booked that but I am wondering how I would turn that into the dining package. I am at my 180 days but if we cannot book until May I don't think I'd be able to get another 8am breakfast if I have to cancel it. I wonder if ill be able to just add it on?

It won't turn in to a dining packing. You will need to rebook the ADR. Good news is that is easy to do online. Just go in to book the Dining Package and the system will drop the existing ADR once the new one is confirmed

Also, there is now question as to whether or not TH will include packages for any meal other than Dinner. At least at first. So I do warn not to get your hopes up based on the HUB info posted above.
As PP said, it is UNCONFIRMED. Stressing UNCONFIRMED.
The only thing confirmed at this point is the debut is 4/22. And there will be some sort of Dining Packages, exact details are unknown. FP are also said to be offered, again, details unknown.

I thought if you tried to double book it wont let you plus what is the chance that an 8am would even be available by the time I can book the package. Thats what Im worried about. I really want the 8am and if I can cancel it I may not get another. I wonder if I called if they could do it over the phone to ensure I got the 8am. Hopefully they keep the breakfast as an option. I find it weird that they are including a Quick Service with it. Worst case ill just do dinner at Flame tree and that be the package. But it says you get your voucher when you go to your meal? So they will have our vouchers at Flame tree?

It won't but it will process a new ADR and cancel the old one in a single process.
They can't do it over the phone any differently than you'd do it online.
And yes, if they do an option at Flame Tree it will include either a paper voucher to give at RoL or something that is put in your MB. Not sure anyone knows right now how it will work. I know how it works at DL but that is not the same as they don't have MB, just paper FP

Ah ok. Well guess we will just wait and see. I am excited about this though.

Even if that info is unconfirmed, it's still more than I already knew, so thanks for sharing. And OP, for starting this thread. I've been following the other thread (about packages showing up in the Android app) and it's fun and all, but it's WAY off topic mostly at this point. This was much easier to find.

So wait... The dining packages start on may 1st? Even though the show begins April 22? So if I am there the last week of April - I can't even make a dining package reservation?

WEDWDW, can you give us any info on when Rivers of Light will debut, including soft opening dates?

I think we actually know exactly 3 things at this point:
1. RoL will debut on 4/22
2. There will be a dining package offered, but no confirmed info as to which restaurants or which meals, and it hasn't been confirmed when this will be available to book.
3. There will be FP+offered but no confirmed info as to when that will be available to book.

I think literally everything else is a rumor from one source or another.

This has been an issue for me in the past, (for a F! ADR) was unable to cancel one and book the other... BUT, as soon as I realized I could not, I called and a CM took care of it. So, my advice would be to call and do the switch via phone.

Thanks for sharing. I am also there the last week of April so really hoping the May 1st date is not correct.

River of lights is going to be in a theatre by itself ? Not part of another ride
