I dont know about all of you guys, but my family always loved river country. It was rarely crowded to capacity and the rides were just good old fashioned fun. I know that for the past few years it has been closed down but the thing i was wondering is if Disney plans on doing anyhting with it like revamping it or converting it to something else. I hate to see the original disney water-park die out slowly every time I am there riding the water sprite boats. Any input or thoughts on the topic would be sweet.

Here's to hoping it comes back!

That was a great place to beat the afternoon sun too.. and it's missed...R.I.P.

:guilty:

Best swimming hole in the world, it was like our own private place. Hardly anyone went there, I guess the thrills weren't so big. Thats why we liked it. Now, with the 2 big water parks, all you have is congestion and choas. Words 2 years ago, thet were going to reopen it for the use of CM's but that pepered out due to degrading of pool from lack of maintenance. Disney should never close anything if you built it once, it meant something, tearing it down, takes away peoples memories. Hate to see the degradation of COP, icon ride. Its like changing HDD, corny but we love it just the way it is and never miss a visit every trip. IASW is the same, hate the tune but at the end of the day, you're either singing it or whistling it. Park icon!

Thank God it closed it was awful - smelly, dirty and crowded and really there weren't any slides, it was a glorified mud puddle.
