The Vegetable Bo Boy sandwich sounds good. What's on it? & Are the baked beans good? & What else do you get w/it?

I don't know what's on the veggie sandwich but all the sandwiches come with baked beans (I think they were pretty good - i don't really remember), a pickle spear and a choice of 1 side. I was trying to remember what all the choices were for the sides. There was a pasta salad and I think potato salad, and my DH thought there was a bean salad and there might have been fruit salad. I was actually surprised that there were so many choices.

We ate there this past week, but didn't have that particular sandwich. The beans were good and the sandwich also came with a salad side, we got pasta salad and coleslaw salad (2 sandwiches).

..there is also a pretty large size condiment station..

Yes, that is what I was going to say. It had some more unusual things there I thought were pretty good. I can't remember what it had, but I remember liking it. DH and I split the turkey sandwhich and it was very good.

I had a veggie po boy there a couple of weeks ago. I didn't really end up liking it much. It was a tomato sauce base, with onions, carrots and zucchini (julienned I think) on a roll. There might have been more veggies in it, but that's what I recognized. It sort of reminded me of chicken cacciatore without the chicken, lol. My daughter had the turkey sandwich. It was a large slice of turkey on a roll, plain. She loved it.

Oh ok thanks for the responses. I guess then I won't like the vegetable sandwich. It doesn't sound that good. But the turkey sounds good. It's just plain turkey no swiss cheese or sauce or lettuce & tomato?

They make it in front of you after you order it. You can get it plain or with cheese, etc. Other condiments, toppings, etc are on the condiment bar.

That place sounds great. I'll have to try it the next time I go! Especially the turkey.

Ok so when you order you say you want turkey, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato? & Do you have a choice in what kind of bread? & What is on the condiment bar? & Are the sandwich's too big for one person?

I do fine with the kids meal size. It's a large condiment bar..what sticks in my mind was some cranberry thing..y u m. Yes..it's real meat..hence the name carvers...one of my favorites!

Many people could probably eat a whole one, but we don't like to feel stuffed at DLR and we also like to leave room to sample other things later, so we split one. I can't remember if there was a choice of bread. We only went once last summer but loved it and plan to go back again. I believe we had some sort of a soft french roll but not sure. I don't recall swiss cheese but then I don't like it so maybe it was there. I remember the bar having some sort of mushroom topping that was very good in addition to regular stuff. You can always walk in and look at the condiment bar and see what it is before you decide.
