RIV Direct UY and 2021 points

We have direct April UY CCV, resale UY FEB and JUNE. If we were to add on RIV direct, would any of these UY give us 2021 UY points as well? I can't ever remember how that works.

Feb UY owners are currently in their 2022 UY. They would not get 2021 UY pts if they purchase direct.

June UY owners are currently in their 2021 UY. They would get 2021 UY pts if they purchase direct because they are still in that UY.

April and June, if you buy this month, should get you 2021 points at Riviera. If you wait until April 1 to buy, you will be in your 2022 UY for April and only June will get you 2021 points.

Other than what is happening with VGF, you get current UY points.

Right now, both Feb and March has started their 2022 UY, so those start there.

All others are still in their 2021 UY so that is what those will start with.

Thanks!!, now is the time to get for April b/c thats my direct and could combine at 7 months at riviera if we wanted to, plus will they bank those points now is the questions to use in 2022 UY!!!

If you are currently in your 2021 UY (and Oct UY is still in 2021 until Sept 30, 2022), then yes.

(As long as Disney has those points available to sell.)

Correct. But AKV is a sold out resort so they may not have 2021 points in stock. So it will depend.

Chances are good for AKV, but only your guide can tell you for sure.

Not a surprise (that 2021 points are gone). I believe DVD gave a lot of their 2021 points to DVC so that Members who lost points during the pandemic closures could have those points extended. IMO, we'll feel the effect of that through at least the rest of this year.

You would. Ask your guide if they have Oct UY available, and, if not, ask to be waitlisted. Time is on your side. They seem to be exercising ROFR at high levels right now.

Looks like i’m going direct Riviera 200 points, we already have vacations planned through next January. I can rent out the 400 points between last year and this year and pay off our only other contract we owe on!! it’s a win win!! Not debating financing here, just thought i’d share what we will more than like end up doing. with militery discount i’m getting it for $179/point. can’t truly beat that!!

I just added 125 Riviera direct today. I wish they would extend that military discount to vets/combat vets/disabled vets! That's a sweet discount ya got congratulations!
