I am thinking that due to the proximity of Reflections to MK, they figured they’d have a larger audience for cash reservations and wanted to have more rooms for that?

Umm, Riviera has a QS, 2 bars/coffee shop, signature restaurant, 2 pools, and skyliner. So far we have more dedicated amenities than at OKW, SSR, AKV, VGF, and BLT.

The Grand Floridian has much more amenities than Riviera.

So does BWV, Kidani, BCV, Poly, CCV, BRV... and RIV is not priced like OKW or SSR.

SSR has 4 pools with, 2 with big water slides, 3 pool bars, QS, sit down restaurant, short walk or boat ride to DS with more dining choices than any place on property, golf course and the best spa on property. It’s going through a refurbishment right now and the new rooms are wonderful. All resorts have positives and negatives.

If you walk to the hotel side. The villas don't.

I think my point was that people are having a bit of pile on for Riviera and treating the resort like a red headed step child. Yeh, the restrictions suck but that now includes EVERYTHING else about the resort apparently.
