I'm seriously considering spending 2 nights at either one of these resorts before staying onsite at the Yacht Club. Currently booked 2 nights at the Poly (club level) but when looking at prices both the RC and the WA are cheaper than the Poly club level, it seems stupid spending so much money on the Poly when it's nowhere near a 5 star resort.

I'd be interested to hear comparisons of the RC and the WA please.

Thanks

I can't compare the two hotels, however, here is the link to the WA/HBC thread which you might find helpful:

I don't know where the Waldorf is, but I stayed last April at the Ritz. It is down there road from Sea World. I see you made up your mind to stay at the Waldorf.

The Ritz allows you to use the spa lap pool, plus you can walk over to the Marriott and use their pool facilities. One thing about the Ritz, is they don't allow you to park your own vehicle. My dh was attending a conference and I drove myself to the parks and I spent more on tipping the valet, than I really wanted too. I don't drive to often my dh does, but I had no problem getting to the parks. It is a very easy drive, and I thought traffic would be horrible, because of the close proximity of Sea World, but I never ran into any traffic.
We are going back in Feb, for the same conference and I can't make up my mind which park to go to. I have never been to Sea World, but I just don't know yet.

Thank you, I've decided on the Waldorf as it's closer to the Disney parks (I'm not driving), so can either get a taxi or the Waldorf's transport.

I would consider Waldorf as a first choice. Basically on Disney property so that is a plus when it's time to go to the Yacht Club. Enjoy your vacation. :cool1::banana:

Thanks :)

I'm not 100% sure re. the Waldorf though, my contact with the resort (to ask some questions) has so far not great :confused3

Its like having to pick between a BMW and a Mercedes. Either way your good.

Hmm... not always. We've owned 5 BMWs since purchasing our first Mercedes in '03. We sold the Merc. after 2 years, but still have 3 Bimmers.

It might not necessarily be a hard choice picking between two 5-star hotels, but it is still a choice of how best to spend your money;)
