Southern California Ritz Carlton Dana Point

Anyone ever stay here and provide suggestions? I've read good things on Trip Advisor.

We have stayed there, but not recently. Used to stay there every holiday season, but since Marriott took over Ritz Carlton, things have not been the same. The hotel is still nice -- lovely view of the ocean and a small beach (open to the public) -- but it just isn't as nice as it used to be and service seemed to be slipping, too. For the room prices, we can stay at other hotels that are nice (without the ocean view, of course) and are a better value.
