Rise of the Resistance Question

Does anyone know why they have been skipping the first section of the Rise of the Resistance ride? We rode it three times over the past week and they are just walking you around the ship into the room with the stormtroopers which is not nearly as dramatic. On the first night we just figured it was due to it being during Jollywood, but it was like that during park hours the next day as well.

We were there Tuesday and rode it twice. The last time it was working fine up until closing when we got off it.

We did ride it Friday too and we bypassed the first part since it apparently wasn’t working. We were surprised because they take you through an entrance that employees use so it wasn’t great for the “experience.” But we didn’t mind because we’ve done it so many times. I feel bad for the guests who never experienced it before. Still a great ride regardless.

Honestly, I feel that they should just not run it rather than break show like that. If a mjaor part of it isn't working, then it should be down.
While I respect you feel this way, I think many others feel differently. I’d much rather be able to enjoy from after the transport rather than shutting down the entire transaction.

I do feel bad for those who pay extra for LLSP and only get a portion of the attraction.

I was in the single rider line about 2 weeks ago. They put us in the recruit room and had no issue going forward. However, the transport had some new actions/dialog that I never experienced before.

Spoiler <maybe>: The tractor beam eventually worked, but Lt. Bek tried to use reverse thrusters to evade capture. It seemed to extend the overall duration on the transport itself.

This happens sometimes when they are a little backed up in the Star Destroyer. There is some naturally included dialog to keep you in there longer. Smuggler's Run also does this when they get behind. Sometimes it takes an extra minute or so to unload, and there is some additional dailog and such that they pepper in.

I also noticed some extended dialog at the end of the RotR attraction (looking for Lt. Bek ) as the unloading was running behind. I'm glad to have experienced and noticed these additional dialogs.

I got B-mode ending. I've never experienced the ride "fully" working meaning the:

I was lucky enough to have been on Rise a few times in the first couple of weeks/months of operation, when that part was working. It was great, but I can see why it may have had technical issues that caused frequent breakdowns.

I've ridden it many times and I'd say at least half the time I've ridden it some part of it was down. The first time we rode it, pretty close to when it opened up, all the pre-shows were down. They just rushed you through the first room and through the one you have to go outside for. Imagine our shock the next time we rode it and those were working. Since I've ridden it a lot, I actually don't mind when those are down. I'm not a fan of the whole rushing and CM yelling at you part.

3-gun turrets were stationary.
Those have been stationary for quite a long time, at least over a year, I believe. Word is that they will not be activated as it caused too many downtimes.

I knew something was different there! We rode it a few times in 2021 and things just felt much less dramatic overall. I thought it was due to the missing beginning sequence, but it was things like this too. Fortunately, we've ridden before but I would be mad if I paid extra to ride it. I also feel really bad for those who didn't get to experience the real thing at all. :( I am glad they didn't close the whole thing down over this though.

That happened to us on our last trip. We saw the pre-show with BB8, etc. Then lead outside and not into the ship, but down a hallway into the ship with all of the Stormtroopers. It really messed up the story with no attempt to fix the story. After that, it all worked except the guns which still don't move.
