Rise of the Resistance holds the distinction of being one of only a few rides that have made me cry from how amazing it was. The other ones are Forbidden Journey and Hagrid's at Universal then Flight of Passage at DAK. It really is the most immersive and incredible attraction Disney has ever done. I agree with you, seeing those AT-ATs then seeing Finn and being lifted up to be face-to-face with an AT-AT... I still get chills. And yes, the entrance into load for the ride was unreal... I have a video from when I rode it on the last evening Studios was opened and a lot of people I was with had only ridden it for the first time and you can hear someone saying, "THAT IS NOT A DOOR!" Incredible. It genuinely felt like they put you into those films. The only negative I can ever say about that attraction is that there are still so many SWGE cast members who have not ridden it and that always bothers me since if there are any people I know who deserve to ride it, it's a large group of them.
Right? It literally made me tear up, I couldn't believe how good it was!! It's basically the ride we've all been waiting for. I mean Smuggler's Run is fun but the best part about that ride is being INSIDE the MF, the ride itself is ok
That AT-AT section is my absolute favorite part, it is just stunning, the scale, the imagery...amazing!
And that "door" in the interrogation room...soooo cool!!
I wish you all get a chance to ride. It doesn't seem right that you can work in GE and have not ridden it's top attraction!
Those Riviera rooms look so homey. I love the style they have. Gosh, it makes me upset that I never made a point to check them out when I had so many opportunities to do so. Oh well.
It's such a beautiful resort. I really enjoyed our visit there!
I'm not sure if I'm more drawn to the Tuna dish or the Chicken Fingers. I guess that describes me as a person. And you're probably right about those chicken fingers having way more calories than the salad even if the salad was portioned bigger lol
They were both good! I know what you mean, i am a comfort/kid food person at heart but I also love a nice gourmet experience too. At Disney I can have both!
For me it's the sound it makes when it goes green and you can head on in...sigh....
Love it!
I just love that. It must be so much fun to be those CM's...I bet there was a lot of applicants!
I'd totally love to just be mean to people all day, I think it's harder than it sounds but it would be fun, LOL
This was just so cool. I hope I get a chance to ride many more times because I couldn't take it all in and get pictures on one ride through.
I know! So much to see and absorb!
I am living proof of this. I was so scared of this drop I second guessed whether I should even ride so many times because I knew the drop was there. It made me worry the whole time. But now that I've done it and I know I don't have to stress about it anymore I can't wait to do this ride again...multiple times!
I was scared too, but once I found out where it is, you just mentally prepare for it and it's fine. The 2nd time we rode was soooo good cos I didn't have that scary anticipation!
I'm here, I'm here! So happy to see another Chunky TR!
Hi Tracy!!! I miss you!!
Is this a good thing or a terrifying thing?
Let's just say ghosts are only good at Disney
I'm sure there were at least half a dozen or more people saying or thinking "Wow. What a loser! Come on lady! Don't you know you need a ticket???"
Yes it was a fluke! I didn't remember!
Thanks! You're a lifesaver!
I couldn't let you ride such a boring ride.
Can’t wait to see your Topolino review! I was able to snag a 7:40 for the Friday of our trip so we can eat and then zoom over to a park—likely Studios for a final Star Wars fix. DD is super into Mickey (or Bickey, as she calls him) and gang right now. I’m so excited for that one. I couldn’t find anything for our May trip, and it was the first thing I grabbed for September. It looks SO nice and the food all sounds delicious!
It is soooo good I loved it! And perfect before heading over to the Studios or Epcot!
Well, it was just me. I didn't like riding alone. Eventually I got used to it, but I much prefer sitting on a bus knowing that Fran is strapped in behind me. We don't talk much, but I know she's there. It was weird having her 10 cars in front of or behind me. Most people don't travel with two
ECVs so it's not an issue. Getting on and off was fine.
Yeah I can see you being anxious if you're separated, especially if you're that many cars apart.
I used to be much better, but from our first trip together Fran has always been a PITA with packing. She can't plan ahead and is always scrambling at the last moment. This last trip was better. I guess after 23 years, my complaining about her procrastination has finally paid off.
LOL I guess she's finally listened!
Not so much insider information, although the friend I was talking to may have been talking from insider info. But he was talking to Jill and I in the CL on our check out day. We were at DL the same weekend you were at WDW in March. He was explaining about the process. His partner and friends had been in the park to score a BG at opening and since they had a high number came back to the hotel for some grub. We explained our situation the day before which you'll hear about in a future Bonus feature. That one was quite the experience.
Ooh interesting. Steve had a not so good experience on this trip. It left us confused. We just got some wrong info and we didn't know what to do. but oh well.
I don't trust the skyliner anymore!
Haha I think I a overly optimistic at times.
