Ripsaw Falls open March 1 or 2??

Ok last night at dinner we were talking about all the things that we were excited to do on our vacation. My son yells out "I can't wait to go on Ripsaw Falls"! Yes, I had to tell him it wouldn't be open, I felt so bad. He missed it last summer and I guess has been really excited to ride it.

When is the reopening date? I heard it would open sometime in early March, anyone know? We will be leaving on the 2nd so that probably wouldn't be a good day to get soaking wet, but we could do it on the 1st.

They are making alterations to it of some sort. Not sure what kind, though.

According to one of my sources, it'll be mid March, not early March as expected.

Bummer! But we will have plenty of other things to do. He (DS -8) is thinking of trying Dr. Doom this time. I went on it with DH and screamed my head off. But, maybe he will like it .

He should, as long as he meets the 52" requirement. The scary part is waiting for the launch, then the launch itself. The rest is easy.

I know, that is what scared me the most!! Just sitting there waiting for the launch.

He is well over 52, actually more like 56 or so, he does the coasters with no problem, but he doesn't like the anticipation stuff. TOT at Disney scared him quite a bit. So we'll see....

The track is starting to go back. It looks like the track is going to be higher than it was before. They are starting from the bottom up so we still can't figure out what they are doing yet. So far it looks like they are about 1/2 way up. I guess we will have to check it out next weekend.
