Dennis Hopper dead, the first I heard of it was here. Don't know why, but it bums me out man. I guess I relate to that time more than I thought. Seventy four years old, where has the time gone?

And she's the 3rd Golden Girl to pass away. Interesting that Betty White, the only one surviving of the 4 main characters, was the oldest of the 4!

Army Lt Joseph Theinert, 4 June 2010 while serving with the 10th Mountain Division in Afghanistan. Joe was a graduate of the Mohawk Battalion, my old ROTC unit, as well as my son's. Joe graduated a year before my son. Joe was killed by an RPG while on patrol.

Jim - I read about this in our local paper this morning. I never dreamed that one of the 4 troops killed yesterday would be known by someone I know. I guess the "Six Degrees of Separation" theory applies in this case.

My condolences to you, your son, and friends & family of Lt. Theinert. May he truly rest in peace.
