That's very sad.. 56 is so young to die. My heart goes out to his family and friends. :sad1:

I have not always been an Apple fan, but Steve Jobs leaves a legacy of innovation that may never again be rivaled. It's not an overstatement to say that very few people in history have had the kind of impact on everyday life as he did.

So sad. He changed so many things we now know as "normal" in our lives. Such a great mind gone so soon. And dont forget that he was over Pixar for a while. I'm sure Pete is stunned as to his I-product obsession. RIP Steve :littleangel:

R.I.P. Steve Jobs. You have put a ding in our universe. You will be truly missed.

This was a man who left the world better than he found it, and in the end that is his legacy. God go with you Steve, thank you for everything.

My heart goes out to the Jobs family, his friends and the Apple family.

What a great American!
I'll miss him.

In their usual understated, simple style, the Apple web site was the most touching I've found this evening.

In reflecting upon the death of one of our generations visionaries, I realize that I owe my career to Steve Jobs. 4 years ago, I started working for AT&T to help support the launch of the first iPhone. Now, with our 5th iPhone launching next week, I have found a career and a company I love and believe in.

Thank you Steve, for designing products that changed the way we use technology in our everyday lives.

Observers marveled at Jobs' skills as a pitchman, his ability to inspire godlike devotion among Apple "fanboys" (and scorn from PC fans) and his "one more thing" surprise announcements. Time after time, he sold people on a product they didn't know they needed until he invented it.

I loved this statement from the CNN article. I think many of us can attest to the truth in that statement! An incredibly sad day indeed, particularly for his family and employees.

So sad. :sad1: A terrible loss for his family, friends and all of us. He certainly left a legacy though. Hard to imagine a world without Macs, ipods, iphones and ipads or Pixar. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Steve.
