DH managed to kill myslow cooker - he turned on the hob by accident and didn't notice til there was a terrible smell - caused by the cable burning through and one of the feet burning off
(Lucky it was empty and waiting to be put away
)
I've heard newer slow cookers can be a bit on the hot side - has anyone bought one recently and would you recommend it? I don't want a massive one because of storage - about 5l is fine, but I'd get a bigger one if it was not too heavy (I don't have room to leave it out all the time - especially if people are going to burn it!!
)
TIA
