Huh. I enjoyed my time on RRR, but as I think most here feel, won't cry over its loss.
BTW - for those concerned over a (steel) coaster's roughness - that is basically always due to the rolling stock (trains) and not the track.
Wooden coasters warp, develop bumps, expand and contract, so they need to be re-tracked or the ride will get awfully rough. But not steel. With their trains wheels are an issue as they wear out and become "less smooth". But by far the biggest factor is the restraint system. Rough or not if the Hulk or RRR didn't require over the shoulder restraints (OTSR or "horsecollars") that'd be the end of headbanging.
Manufacturers know this, of course, which is why some coasters with the old hard plastic OTSRs have been replaced with soft, three-point type harnesses (such as Maverick at Cedar Point), and most new rides are designed to not need any shoulder harness at all. And that includes intense ones such as VC, GOTG, heck even Steel Vengeance, which is the definition of insanity.
Precisely engineered looping coasters without OTSRs have been around since the 70's, believe it or not. My wife and I rode Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's Berry Farm, a launched coaster with a loop, back in the day with only a lap bar.
