Rip, Ride, Rockit!

I cant decide if I should wait for my dad to get down here mid August or go to the passholder preview alone... :confused3:)

I would go whenever you get the chance. Remember...once it opens to the public, the lines are going to be HUGE!

Seems like a lot of songs to choose from, I wonder how much time you have to read through it all.... unless that's what the 16 seconds of the lift hill are for :lmao:

Here is a rumored playlist for the coaster,If this list is correct I have Devil went down to Georgia and Pump up the Volume as my top 2 choices for my first ride, what would you guys pick?

Rocky Mountain High perhaps?

Enya! Yanni!

Debbie Boones... You Light Up My Life

:thumbsup2

Thanks for the link!

I'm kind of disappointed with that list. I think many of the songs have rhythms that are too slow for a coaster.

I took the survey on the potential song choices many months ago and was hoping for better choices. From this list I'll probably choose either Kickstart My Heart or Paralyzer but I wish there were more choices. JMO.

I have to admit that I am a little disappointed in the choices. Seems extremely dated for a brand new state of the art coaster and one of it's benefits is choice of music. I have a feeling they will hear about this one. :confused3

With the choices available then I am going to go with either Limp Bizkit, Crystal Method, Cypress Hill or Motley Crue on my first ride.

I'm disappoined too. Most of the songs seem really slow for a roller coaster. We have 3 days schedules at just Universal in August and are hoping to ride it each time. I'll probably go with "Le Disko" by Shiny Toy Guns, "Pump It" by the Black Eyed Peas and "Hella Good" by No Doubt.

I just got back from the Hard Rock tonight. I was hoping for a soft opening...but no. I didn't see the coaster running with people at all, and most days a crane was stationed right next to the ride, repositioning something I guess.

Ah man! I am going to be to seriously bummed if they don't get this running in a couple of weeks. :worried:

Are passholder previews this week?!?!?!
Nothing has been announced from Universal so I would say no.

Maybe the list will grow over time. :confused3

Really, "Paralyzer?" For one, this song is not Metal, and two, it's not a very good song.

My choices, maybe as far as what should be added if not already present...

Shinedown - "Fly From the Inside"
Shinedown - "Energy"
Trivium - "Ignition"
Motley Crue - "Primal Scream"
As I Lay Dying - "94 Hours"
AC/DC - "TNT"
Jets - "Rocket to you"
Michael Jackson - "Thriller"

I am also pretty unhappy with the song list. I would guess they have to limit it to low number of songs because of the small time to chose a song but idk. I am hoping they will alternate songs out.

The wife and I were at US and IOA this past weekend for a short vacation and got to see some testing. We were at citywalk until 1:30am monday morning and they were still running it so we were hoping for an AP preview that morning . We got there at 7:00am just before citywalk opened and got to meet and talk to a couple of security guards and they were hoping we would get to ride. super nice guys by the way! We were hoping to ride since they were still running it at 7:30 but didnt get to. oh well, we'll be back in oct for HHN! Didn't hurt trying!!!

Gosh I hope we hear something soon.

I keep checking the website for updates :sad1:

On another board, someone posted that they heard 104.1 will be at Universal for R3 on July 22nd. I found that radio stations website and emailed them and they did confirm that they would be at Universal from 6am-11am on July 22nd, but did not say any more.

Hopefully this is for a upcoming grand opening, but I would think they would have to start having soft-openings with the next week for this to happen. That radio station has not put anything on their website yet for this appearance, but they don't have anything listed beyond July 15th at this point so maybe that just hasn't been updated.

We'll be there on the 20th for a week, hoping we get a shot at it!

Mark

The way I looked at the video, it almost looks as if it enters the station when the ride is over in the reverse motion.. it doesn't does it?

I think they could have picked some better songs than what were on this list, but hey, for the amount of time you really are on that thing and the screaming that some will be doing, you may not even hear the song...:lmao:

This is from the 104.1 site:
http://realradio.zipscene.com/events/view/1830041

That does not mean anything, aside from they might be broadcasting on-site. TMs have not had a chance to ride, plus the coaster is still under construction. It will open before HHN, hopefully.
