Sorry my previous messages were so short, but I was on my internet phone and trying to watch the coaster and type at the same time. They seemed to be running a limited number of trains because it took forever between launches. It looks smooth but slow from what I could see...that loop looks very cool. I love the light show after dark when the coaster lights turn into a "rocket" when it drops. Seeing it running full of people really whetted my appetite for riding it in the (hopefully very) near future.

They let some TM's ride it one night when we were there for a week back in July...we hoped that meant it was opening...no such luck!

I doubt it was TMs in July. Most likely it was construction and engineering workers. TMs only start riding once ownership is turned over to Universal.

This morning they were testing again with lights and again when we left a few minutes after 4pm there were lights on the ride. There was a LOT of activity going on there. I figured something was up. I hope they open it before Tuesday. Our 7 day tickets run out on Tuesday.

We got here yesterday and I spoke with a few employees and as has been reported it was open yesterday to "associates". I was informed it opens to the public next week. When exactly they would not say... we are here in Orlando through Saturday and are hoping we can come back (from wdw) to ride the 3R. It looks like a great coaster and am hoping we dont have to wait until next trip to ride.

One side note- it looks like it would be much better at night then during the day due to all the lights and so forth.

That is the general consensus on multiple boards: softs for the public starting at 2 today. Let's hope that stays true!
