Man...I was so sad to hear this. I was hoping she'd be okay since they upgraded her to stable condition. This is a hard loss for this Star Wars fan! My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

2016 has just been a tough one. It will go down in history as one of the worst years ever. It took so much from us, many celebrities and great artists, and many quite young too. They will all be greatly missed.

We are very sad in the office this afternoon. Especially to those of us who grew up with the Star Wars movies back in the 70's. She was the first Princess that I ever wanted to be and I'm not the Princessy type at all.

Your post spoke to me. I'm a senior now, and have always been a tomboy at heart. I was a young mom with two small boys when we saw Star Wars together as a family. Growing up in the 50's with the June Cleavers ie and than the character Princess Leia comes along; a strong, young woman, striking it out on her own was for me an inspiration.

We went to see Rouge One, as I was waiting for movie to start I had the thought she would pass away today. About 10 minutes after it started, DH got a breaking news alert with the news. Guess I felt the break in the Force.....

Yes, 2016 was a year worth forgetting.

I met Ms. Fisher at the 2012 NYCC.

She was gracious and very nice.

I wish I was able to take a picture but I have an autograph from her that I'd treasure.

She was such a integral part of my childhood and watching the movies will never be quite the same. RIP Carrie. The Force was always with you.

Oh no. I just read that Debbie Reynolds has been rushed to the hospital. Possible stroke. Read it on People, so take it for what it's worth. I hope it isn't true, but if it is, I hope she is okay.
