Sadly she had addiction issues and I think it all caught up with her. I saw in the obituary she recently had a liver transplant and speculation is that the transplant was rejected. As a big fan of The Adventures of Pete & Pete, I watched an episode she was in in her memory. The episode was The Last Laugh which coincidentally also starred Adam West (Batman from the 1960s show).

I never read or heard anything about addiction issues-she was publicly known for having a strong anti drug and alcohol stance. there are repeated articles going back years and years where she attributes her non involvement with either to the manner in which her mom raised her and she gave her mom tremendous kudos. as for the liver transplant it's entirely possible to have liver issues/failure absent any alcohol or drug history. my adult children have to make certain their medical providers keep do more frequent routine blood work and use caution in prescribing medication due to a genetic pre-disposition to liver disease on one side of the family. several family members on that side died directly due to liver failure-a number who never had a single sip of alcohol nor an illicit drug in their shortened lives.

I saw that Ice Princess was number 3 trending on Disney+ - Fans are watching in honor of Michelle. I never saw that, but I do remember her from Harriet the Spy.
