My Dad just called, Byron Nelson passed away today. (they're very close friends and Dad's just devastated) I just feel sick inside, he was a wonderful, wonderful man who did so much for others.

He also has done a TON for childrens charities through the years. His golf tournament here in DFW has raised over $85 million alone through the years for the Salesmanship Club here in Dallas. He was always supporting charities either with his time or $.

I heard on the news that his lifetime earnings were just $187,000 because he played before golf had the big payday it now enjoys- just think what his talent would have been worth in this day and age. It sounds like he was a great person and would have used it to help charities.
