RIP-Anne Burrell

I just read that-what a shock! She was always so fun and such an excellent chef. Gone way too young.

We love to watch Worst Cooks in America. We were disappointed she wasn't on the most recent season and were sad to hear of her passing

I use several of her recipes in my regular rotation and learned several things from the show.

I certainly hope her loved ones find peace soon.

I'm sorry to hear it - she was a lovely TV personality - very warm and engaging. Grace and peace to her loved ones. :flower3:

I'll never forget the look on Anne's face when the person that got nominated for the show for Vanilla chicken, in a round where you could make what you want made....... Vanilla chicken. Spoiler alert. She got sent home.

I don’t watch much Food Network, but I definitely know who she is. I was shocked when I got the notification on my phone. May she rest in peace

Haven’t watched the Food Network in decades but remember her from a SoHo restaurant that had memorable food. Always glad to see a woman who knew what she was doing up front and center. Anyone who could stand toe to toe with Mario Batali was fine by me.
Rest well, you earned it.

Anne was thee chef that got me hooked on watching cooking shows over a decade ago! She was quirky too, and fun so I always enjoyed anything she appeared on. RIP Chef!

She was a favorite. What happened?
I don't think they've said yet, though there are reports of an unresponsive woman, and possibly cardiac arrest.

Loved her... she was always entertaining, and I learned a lot watching her.

I read she'd been taking an improv class, and had done a stand-up show the night before. What an interesting new hobby she picked up!

can I ask which recipes? Always looking for something new

When I heard this yesterday I was so sad. It is still leaving a pit in my stomach. She was my favorite chef on FN. DH and I had noticed her absence the last few years and wondered what was going on with her.

I started watching her way back on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. I watched her on Worst Cooks, BBQ Brawl, House of Knives, Chef Wanted, etc. She had such an ease to teach cooking skills and her recipes rock.

I will hear her in my brain forever....."BTB RTS" "Brown food tastes GOOOOD"

Rest in Peace Chef Anne.

This is one of our all time favorites. I do this regularly. Even DS7 eats it and likes it. Granted, I tell him it's a chicken nugget but I don't think he actually buys it.

I also use this recipe for a steak dry rub and tips from the show on how to properly sear a steak. DH is in charge of cooking outdoors but I can sear a pretty mean steak on the stove these days.

Also, Bobby Flay's tips for frying chicken were greatly appreciated. I like his recipe below:
