Season 27 is the LAST for the well known History Channel series (fyi… History Channel is half owned by Disney through the A&E joint venture alongside Hearst).
So sad. I really enjoyed this show. I haven't watched it much since Frank passed, but that's because we don't get Histroy channel since we cut our cable. But as a person who collects baseball cards and likes to go looking at antiques, it shot prices way up. It brought that stuff to the forefront as far as popularity.
Interesting. Reading articles, Danielle Colby is saying the show is canceled, but A & E says it is not. They already have season 28 shot.
Always interesting historical information in the show. But I always wondered how the business made financial sense without the money A & E paid them for being on the show. They are out on the road, staying in hotels, having to pay for food and fuel, and they pickup a few items that don't seem like they could sell for a whole lot of money.
I haven’t watched it in years since we cut cable and switched to YouTube TV, which doesn’t carry it. But even before we cut cable, we had stopped watching. It was fun at first, but got tiresome after a while. It’s still interesting, though, to see what people can find in abandoned buildings, barns, or the homes of deceased family members—lol.
I used to watch the show a lot, I really liked it. Kind of got out of the habit after losing access to the channel that had it a long time ago. I visited the shop in Iowa several years ago, unfortunately none of the stars were there that day.
