Man would I like to come and meet the gang. It's only about a 4 hour car trip.
Not sure if Denny(my husband) would let me drive that far with Ty without him. He is working out of town this weekend. Maybe the girls would want to come. I'll work on it. Of course we are suppose to get several inchs of snow and if it's still hanging around I know he'll veto it.

closing another disney store, not good. They redid the store in the mall close to where i work. I'ts nice and big and....icky. The little store by my house is better. Whatever are they doing?!?

I don't mind winter and the snow so much as long as temps stay in the 20's. I enjoy going sledding with the boys and love watching them get all dressed up in their snow gear and tromping around in the yard. It's this -10 degree temps with 20-30 below wind chills that I HATE!!! It is just bitter cold right now with no relief in the forecast.

I hate to say it but I hope there is not a snow day Thursday (although it looks like a possibility) I am only subbing 2 days this week and that is one of them and we've already used up our built in snow days so anymore means extending the school year past Memorial Day.

Do you guys leave your faucets running all the time?

I thought you were doing a two or three week subbing stint after the holidays. Maybe I am thinking of someone else.

For all you people who never really get snow and want a snow day... Jackie the PJs go on inside out for snow days!

BTW I have one today, but feel lousy so I am not real happy about it!

Hannah is home sick today and I'm going to have to run out to pick up her prescription and more tissues today. It's so cold though I don't want to go out. I am so ready for summer!

Me, too. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, summer. Well, I like spring okay, but January and February can just be crossed off, as far as I am concerned.

When I was teaching we always told the kids to wear their jammies inside out for a snow day too. Also, you had to have your homework done. If you had homework unfinished - there was always school the next day. My 5th graders used to try interrogating everyone until the found the unlucky student who didn't listen to my warnings.

We got a two hour delay this morning, which I was also unhappy about. I am ready for our normal weekday routines again!

They used to to delays where we are, but in the last few years, it's been all or nothing. We've either gone on time or not gone at all. We'll see what tomorrow morning holds. I'm not making plans for staying home, but it'll be nice if we get to.

I hope I'm there, too. I have the Mickey Ice Cream Bar PJ's I will be wearing. Abby's school used to follow Murfreesboro City Schools, but now they are on thier own. I am worried since they don't have a bus system, they will have a better chance of having school. Is she goes, I will have to go to work. Look out for St. Rose in Murfreesboro on the school closing listings - keeping fingers crossed. Are you Metro Schools?

I am staying put until Ellie (our new princess's name) makes her debut so any weekend would be good for a possible Hippo Meet. We may have friends come visit MLK weekend.

We are having the same freezing temps all week here too and it is very strange. I don't ever remember it being this cold for this long. I mean, NC just doesn't get HIGH'S of 27 for even a few days, much less for weeks on end. I just don't know what to think. Not a very convincing argument for global warming! We don't have any snow in the forecast though. Why is that? It has rained so much lately and now that we are freezing, we get nothing!

National news a few minutes ago said 60% of the country was in a deep freeze!

Ugh, I'm SO sick of the cold! Hope you do have a few snow days coming your way though!

We're supposed to be in single digits this weekend. I sure hope this is not the year my heater chooses to give it up. It's lasted longer than I thought it would already.

We got back yesterday morning, but I confess, all I did the rest of the day was lounge around and rest after getting up at 4:30AM to catch that plane. I am starting on my TR today..I have a very cute picture of Brooklyn and my sister playing with the light-up toys, I'll make sure and post that.

Resting after a Disney vacation is a good idea. I'm glad I had Sunday afternoon to crash before I went back to school Monday.

I already have a two hour delay for Thursday ... and since I work mornings on Thursday that means I have to be there about 10:30 till 12:30. The hard part might be that it takes me longer to get there and back than I am actually teaching...
