Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Hey MeMom great update. I haven't been over to look around the Wilderness Lodge for several years. Denny says he would like to stay here. Maybe we will do Whispering Canyon in October, we haven't ever eaten there.

I went to Memphis today. We ran to the mall to go to the Disney Store. I took some pictures if you would like me to post them. I thought you and Jill might want an idea of what they have. I was kinda shy about taking pictures because it was so crowded in there. Let me know if you want to see them.
I did buy a few things.

The bag was $2.50 and all the plush was buy one get one free.
The flip flops are for Avery, for Valentines. She loves Tink.

We did not make it to Wilderness Lodge this past trip, it is gorgeous! I just love the shopping there too!
So much that is unique to the lodge.
That Christmas tree is massive. Beautiful!

It looks like your bus is racing the monorail in that first picture!

I'd say the monorail won!

I just love that lobby because there are so many small sitting areas. You can have just your own people off by themselves.

Thanks for the pictures of the villas, after this summer they will be the only DVC resort we haven't stayed at, well except for Jambo, but I'm not counting that because we've stayed at Kidani.....
VWL looks amazing! I look forward to the time we get the chance to complete the DVC circuit!

We've got a long way to go, but we do want to stay at every resort for at least a night or two. We were hoping to do the last two nights at AKL this summer, but that's going to have to wait until maybe next summer. There are so many incredible Disney resorts, so we have a lot of fun to look forward to.

Ah, Wilderness Lodge pictures...love that place. Can't wait to be there in just a couple of months!

I have a huge hankering for chicken and dumplings now! My mom always mixed up some Jiffy biscuit mix and just dropped tablespoons into the boiling broth. I never even had flat dumplings until my MIL fixed me chicken and dumplings once. I actually asked "what are these"? My mom got a big laugh out of that but I was embarrassed

She texted me today from 1900 Park Fare and said they were having a great time I'm actually not sure what building they're in.

This was a perfect time to post WL pictures since I'll be there in 3 days

Do you happen to remember where this spot was? I want to see if I can find it! My mom would love to sit down and read there. Maybe while I walk around and take pictures

We have snow left over from eariler this week. They say we may get some tomorrow, but just a dusting. I'm so ready for spring. They had summer and beach stuff out at the Disney Store today.
I will post the pictures I took, but be warned my pictures don't compare to your shopping pics.lol The store was packed and I was afraid parents wouldn't like some strange woman taking pictures with their kids in them.
I got strange looks as it was. lol I told Sam if anyone said anything I was going to say " I Dis" doesn't everyone?

The first pictures are where your enter the mall. They had Mickey and Minnie chillin out in the middle of the little train ride there.

The next pictures are of the carousel and the little jumpping thing.

Now for the real reason I took my camera. Ty wasn't with us, he was at his Dad's or I would have had him in some of the pictures.

Well there it is. Sorry I couldn't get more up close shots. I had to kinda shoot high over people. It may not look very busy but it was. We were also kind of in a hurry. I just thought you might want to get an idea of what this Disney store has to offer. There were several sections I couldn't even get shots of, but I was still alittle afraid of making someone mad.

It is beautiful. We felt very much at home there and will definitely go back.

I grew up on flat dumplings and didn't know about any other kind.

Lucky you! That sitting area was either on the 2nd or 3rd level up. Go over by Whispering Canyon and go up those stairs. You'll go through some big glass doors. That sitting area is over on that side of the lobby. It had a nice fireplace.

I had to laugh at the thought of you being sort of afraid to take pictures. I don't even think about it any more.

I remember the days when we had a Disney Store.

Do you remember how much Roo was? We didn't have him up here. He would be cute in attendance at Bella's birthday party. I'll have to tell Trent to look for one in WDW tomorrow. That little brat is going to Animal Kingdom in the morning and Magic Kingdom tomorrow night!!!

I didn't look at the price of that size plush, but every size plush was buy one get one free. I will probably be back in Memphis Tuesday to pick up Sam's car.

Ooooh! I am so excited to get to Wilderness Lodge for the first time on this next trip! The tour stops at WCC for lunch! I'll have to see if I can sneak in a trip to the geyser to make a wish....but not the same as your past wishes! I need to wish for love first!
