Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Loved the parade photos.
We've only ever been to WDW in August/September and I have a hard time imagining anything other than hot sun and humidity, especially in AK:sunny: The MK holiday pictures don't surprise me so much - maybe because it looks so much like DLParis (where we went for New Year 2002/3).
And isn't it marvellous how much Disney theming detail there is - I had a fun time checking out what everyone had in their stockings!

Just wanted to mention that one month from today I will not be sitting at my house getting ready for work. I will be waking up in Disney World!!!!!!!!

And I'll finally get to meet you guys :cool1: Will MeMom take a picture with me if I PROMISE not to post it :rolleyes1

Of Course! ;) By all means, you need to get started!

Actually, the ticker has days, hours, and minutes!

For Jill, of course. ;)

And I will be depressed because I will just be coming home the day before from our trip!! But excited for you:) I cannot believe I am missing you guys by just 1 day or so :sad2:

Too bad it worked out like that. We always enjoy DIS meets.

woohoo a month!:dance3::yay:

Yay for one month! :)

I would dance and celebrate with you guys, but I am feeling a bit 'under the weather' today. Maybe this weekend, I will be able to get my dancing going again. Tonight, I think I am going to crash early. Jill was talking about Main Street Bakery and getting a cinnamon roll earlier, and it made me sick to think about it, so I know I've gotta be sick!

We're mostly July people, because of my school schedule, and it is hot, hot, hot!

The stockings were fun to look at. I'm glad I got the pictures, because you can't see them so well as the cars are just going by. In a picture, I can take time to really see the details.

We're glad you are here...
but no eating popcorn around me tonight, please.

Only if I can be the head in the back of the crowd. :goodvibes

I did have pictures, but you have to see it person, of course. It's a good one!

What do you have in the works for the rest of 2010?

I know. And I will .... someday. Right now I am trying to book an after Labor day trip with just me and my DS. He has 2 days at the end of the week after Labor Day off from school and Monday off for Labor day so that's practically the whole week right? :confused3 He never misses school for illness and other things so this might be OK. I am hoping for free dining and real good passholder rate. He still has some nonexpiring tickets from our last trip so we are almost all set.
Now I have that conference again in Oct. BUT it is in San Antonio this year. :sad1: So I am trying to get to San Antonio via Orlando. A couple of days in the beginning and a couple at the end. Now that's some fuzzy disney math but I really want to do F & W again. Looking at Oct 2 or 3 until the 5th and then again from the 10-13th.

Now I am stilling trying to figure a way to get to see the parade this summer :upsidedow But considering how busy this spring break has been at work :scared1::scared1: I am not sure I can make that work .... but yet I am still trying.
Hello my name is poolrat and I am a Disneyholic :rotfl2:

I saw Liam's birthday cake. That was a boy cake, for sure, and I know he loved it! You are good Mom!!

I tried to convince him of a few less boyish ideas, but he had his heart set on a superhero cake. Now, Doug is telling me he wants a Superman cake. Thanks for the good mom compliment. It means a lot coming from a good mom from you. :lovestruc

You have come to the right place. :)
When we go for Mother's Day, it will only have been five months (not even a whole five), yet it seems like a long time. I like every three months much better. :thumbsup2

Having raised three, as soon as I saw that cake, I pictured you in the kitchen working diligently on it. Those little things in life mean so much to me, because those are important things to kids.

In what month do we look forward to a Superman cake? :)

Hope you feel better Memom!

Thanks. My stomach is still churning some, so I am staying in Sprite and cracker mode through today, just to be safe. I ate part of a dry ham sandwich last night, but was feeling full after 2-3 bites. You know how something as simple as a sandwich can seem huge after not eating for a while.

Maybe it'll finish running its course today.

Have a Fantastic Friday, everyone, and a great weekend ahead!
:cool1:

Happy Friday, MeMom and Jill!!! Hope you have a lovely day as we head into the weekend!

Enjoy yours, too. Is this your final spring break day?

***************************

Has anyone subscribed to the Disney Digital Books program? I am thinking of getting that for Brooklynn for her birthday, and it looks good, but I'm curious to hear from someone who has actually been into it all the way.

Yes, sadly, it is my last official day. I am not really sure where the week went. I had great plans to clean out the garage and closets but that didn't happen. I blame the nice weather.

I am wondering this too as Lexi has shown interest in it and she :lovestruc books and being on the computer too.

Add one more baby to the DIS family! :cheer2:
Julie's little Claire arrived today! :lovestruc

Yeah for Julie. I can't wait to see pictures of baby Claire. We are settling in good at home. My sisters and Mom are here and are a great help to us right now. They go back to Atlanta tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for all the congratulations - I have read them all and they mean so much. I haven't done the multi quote before so need to figure it out one of these days:).

Hope you feel better Memom!

It's Friday! It's Friday! :woohoo: Hope you have a good weekend! Fiance's b-day is Sunday, so we'll be celebrating that!

I have been sick but now I am caught up. Bella's party looked like a lot of fun. I am glad that her Uncle Bubby got to be there.

I liked your parade pictures. How fun for you and Brooklynn to be able to share that with each other.

Is Brooklynn excited about her upcoming trip?

I have been trying to get to my laundry room for three months and just pull everything out and start over. I haven't had a weekend when it wasn't too cold or too busy or too something. It's a pretty weekend, I have no company, and I am feeling a bit better, so this could be the weekend. :thumbsup2

It looks very cool.

We look forward to seeing pictures of all of you together soon.

To multi-quote, just hit the quotation marks on each post, then hit QUOTE on the final one. They'll all show up, and then you just post in between.

Have fun with your celebrating! :yay:

You should have seen Brooklynn's face when she saw him walk in the door. :)

She is always ready for a Disney trip.

Hope you feeling better today. I know all about the churning feeling. I would rather have that than the all out sick but only 1 all out sick gets it out then all out sick it is. The churning scares me since I never know when it will get worse .... or where.

A few more Animal Kingdom pictures, before we ended our afternoon and headed back to Pop.

Can you love a tree? Because if you can, I love this one.

Back at Pop,

IMG_3517.jpg

I decided to go ahead and get the refrigerator back to luggage services to mark that off my list of things to do as we closed out this trip.

Jill's bunch had decided to stay in for the evening, but since it was my last night in Disney World for a very long time, I was ready to soak in every second I could, so....

I ended up back at Magic Kingdom.
