Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Okay, so I was way behind on your updates, but now I am all caught up! It was a lot of fun reading all about Bella's birthday parties and seeing all of your fun parade pics at AK with Brooklynn (still haven't seen that parade, but your pictures have convinced me I should really try this time!). And finally your last night at MK. It sounds like you are on the mend and feeling better. :goodvibes

We have 17 days until my mom and I take my son for his special trip to WDW!:cool1: We took each of my daughters for their own trips around the same age. They pick the character meals and what they would like to do in the parks. We have always stayed at the All-Star Movies Resort (their choice), but Ben has asked to stay at Pop Century in the building with the giant yo-yos! :lmao: For our last night, we are switching over to Animal Kingdom Lodge with a Savannah View!! :woohoo: This is a surprise for him and something my mom and I have always wanted to do. We are so excited! :woohoo: We leave on the 28th of April and come back home on May 5th.

I think we just miss seeing you when you come down for your Mother's Day trip. When we came down for my oldest dd's trip, it was over Mother's Day weekend. We had a Mother's Day brunch at Chef Mickey's and went to the Magic Kingdom for the day. My Mom and I were each given a carnation as we walked into the park. It was really sweet! :flower3:

The parade looks like a lot of fun! I love all the details. I think I saw it a few years ago but we didn't have the best view. I agree with you about using every little second at the parks. I could never stay in the room on the last night. The Magic Kingdom is so pretty!!

Stopping by to say hi! Loved the parade pictures, still can't believe we haven't seen that parade yet.

Congrats on the sweet new babies! They are just precious!

That's a mystery and a real problem that needs to be solved! ::yes::

True! With all their technological feats and advancements, you would think the good folks at Disney would have figured out how to make time slow down in their resorts and parks!;) If wishes were fishes the sea would be full...

Hope you're feeling better for the weekend!

This morning we got up bright and early and went to Costco to purchase a play house for the girls. We also had a few errands to run and a birthday party to go to. By 3:00 Brooklynn was about to spontaneously combust to play in her house. So we all headed outside to put it together.

Brooklynn supervised John while he opened the box.

All the pieces were laid out on the lawn as the precisely precise engineer and the extremely excited impatient 3 year old began to do battle. This translated into lots of ridiculous arguing and me having a headache about 3 minutes into the whole process.

Brooklynn took a break to pose with Bella.

Bella ate her goldfish and just enjoyed being outside for a little while.

Brooklynn was playing with her umbrella and was trying to hide from the paparazzi.

Bella finished her goldfish and decided to check out her daddy's progress.

Then it was time for a pizza break

Brooklynn changed into different clothes since it was getting cooler and we headed back outside. Ben enjoyed the house until he wanted out and Brooklynn had closed the door.

Brooklynn got to help put the doorbell on.

Locking up for the night!

I called Trent and asked him to get me a Mickey gnome the next time he goes to Epcot to put outside.

AWESOME playhouse! I'm sure the girls will get hours and hours of playtime out of that :)

It was super easy to put together. Everything fits snug but not too tight all the holes were predrilled. I am really pleased. I think they will really play with it a lot over the next few years.

Don't you know she just wanted it to pop out of the box and look just like the picture without all that waiting?!?!? :goodvibes

I am having an incredibly easy time picturing this.

Brooklynn took a break to pose with Bella.

IMG_7287.jpg

Surprise - Bella is eating!

There's Trent again...
in a dress.

Cute dresses, too. :thumbsup2

She'll be on the roof as soon as you turn your back.

They have the same bangs. :upsidedow

This reminds me of concession stand days. :)

Brooklynn got to help put the doorbell on.

IMG_7303.jpg

Good job, Brook!

She put the weather vane on top.

IMG_7307.jpg

And no matter what the weather, we know that bad boy will not be coming apart. If there is one thing John can do, he can put things together so that no force of nature can break them apart! :rotfl:

Looks like a full and fun day.
Good job, John and Brooklynn.
Everybody get a good night's sleep.

What a great playhouse! The girls look thrilled with it! Of course, with my Disney obessed mind, the first thing I thought was, "The girls have their very own Wilderness Lodge now!"

Make the hair a tad darker and you have Amy when she was Bella's age! What a busy day. I'm sure Brooklynn was like a Diser waiting to go to the first park of the trip to play in the playhouse. It looks super cute. I'm sure the girls will get years out of that. Your backyard is huge! Lots of space to run around.
That's so exciting, less then one month until Disney!

That playhouse is so cute. I love the pictures of Bella watching her dad, and Brooklynn and her umbrella. Brooklynn also did a good job on the bell and weather vane.

Great Playhouse. I like how everything was started out in bright daylight and ended in pitch darkness.

I am sure Brooklyn was excited to get to play and her "supervising" was a sight.

I hope you get years of happy memories out of that house. We had one when when mine were little and it served us well.

Bella's birthday party looked great, your Disney parties are always such an inspiration. Love the playhouse! We had the same exersaucer for DD.

All these babies are making me so jealous (and so happy for all of the mommys!). Hopefully this time next year we will be expecting - just have to get DD in kindergarten, we can not afford having two little ones in daycare full time right now.

We got our taxes back yesterday, we owe more than we were expecting :scared1: so it looks like we will not be renewing our annual passes next month and we will not be taking our last family of 3 Diseny vacation in September. I had the whole trip planned out but I don't see how we will be able to make it happen. :sad1:

I know what you mean. My friends teased me that I can't take a clear picture to save my life. fireworks just come out like blurs.

I have one in there too-

Mine is the Christopher. I spy the others.

I have trouble with fireworks pictures too. Occasionally, I will get one or two that come out good.

Memom, Glad that you are feeling better.
Jill, That's a great playhouse. I know the girls will have lots of fun times in it!:)

Congratulations to all the new mommies! :):lovestruc Enjoy your new little ones and try to get some sleep! Those first few months are tough! At least they were for me and I only have one.

Haha, looks like we were both in a building mood today. Fiance put up the little guy's swing set. Of course, the little guy had to help. It was so cute!

okay, i see 2 disers (i'd have to be blind not to figure at least one of those out!) and a dis son. can't find the 3rd diser or the brother. maybe because i know very few disers' real names!

Actually, we have Christine x 2, so we'd have to add another Diser.
Denise is praisehisname.
Dawn is... oh, you know that one. :)
David is Nicole's brother, who he just had his senior prom last night. :goodvibes
Did we get everyone?
Poolrat
added her Christopher. Anyone else have a family member to add?

I'll get a new picture next trip and we'll play again!

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA... catching up, though, thanks to the handy dandy links!

After seeing so many gorgeous pix of resort decorations I am determined to schedule time for our crew to check them out... especially Fort Wilderness!! And the Grand. Oh, and the Boardwalk and the Beach Club, and....

Kathy

You will be giving yourself a treat to see the resorts. I love walking around the resorts!

Too bad we will not overlap. You will have such a great time. It is so important for kids to have that one on one 'it's all about me' time with their special grown-ups.

A savannah view at AKL is something to be excited about! :dance3:

I'm not sure what our schedule will be, but it would be cool to be in Magic Kingdom sometime during Mother's Day. Maybe we'll go there for a short while firat, just to say we were there on Mother's Day, and then we'll go to another park. Jill is going to choose the itinerary. I am thrilled to be going, and I will follow her anywhere! :yay:

The parade looks like a lot of fun! I love all the details. I think I saw it a few years ago but we didn't have the best view. I agree with you about using every little second at the parks. I could never stay in the room on the last night. The Magic Kingdom is so pretty!!

I know Jill was tired and the girls had to be in bed. I always offer to stay in with the girls so the young people can go out and do things for a while, but they just wanted to stay in, so I took advantage of the chance to soak up a little more magic for myself. :wizard:

Stopping by to say hi! Loved the parade pictures, still can't believe we haven't seen that parade yet.

Congrats on the sweet new babies! They are just precious!

When you get to see it, the kids will love it, and you will, too!

Hope you're feeling better for the weekend!

We need a time staller and an instant transporter and life would be good!

Yeah, I'm feeling much better now. Thanks.

AWESOME playhouse! I'm sure the girls will get hours and hours of playtime out of that

Yep, many sweet memories will be made for those sweet little sister girls as they play in that thing.

And maybe a brother in the future. :rolleyes1

Jill, that is such a cute playhouse Brookie must be thrilled! John must be exhausted!

John was in his element. He thrives on stuff like that. Drew's the same way, he loves having parts that he can put together.

Brooklynn called me and told me she got to put the doorbell on. She was a tired girlie.

What a nice playhouse! I love that it is wood! Very sweet!

It is a nice one. They got it at Costco.

What a great playhouse! The girls look thrilled with it! Of course, with my Disney obessed mind, the first thing I thought was, "The girls have their very own Wilderness Lodge now!"

That wood had me thinking Wilderness Lodge, too, when I first saw it, but when I saw the grill and fake BBQ tools, it brought back visions of the thousands of hours we spent at the concession stand at school.

They have a good fenced in back yard.

Just a few more weeks until our trip. Next Saturday, we're going by Margot's birthday party. May 1st, we're going to Atlanta for the Mary Poppins meet. I think the time will fly by!

That playhouse is so cute. I love the pictures of Bella watching her dad, and Brooklynn and her umbrella. Brooklynn also did a good job on the bell and weather vane.

Isn't the umbrella cute?
I'd be happy to have one in a grown-up size.
My teacher friends would not be surprised to see me with an Ariel umbrella.

This is the best way I can think of to spend my last night at Disney World!

More Magic Kingdom pictures coming soon. I stayed for a little while. :)

Great Playhouse. I like how everything was started out in bright daylight and ended in pitch darkness.

I am sure Brooklyn was excited to get to play and her "supervising" was a sight.

I hope you get years of happy memories out of that house. We had one when when mine were little and it served us well.

You can tell she has her supervising stance going in the first few pictures.

My kids had one of the big climbing cubes that had steps and a big hole to go in and out and a slide. That thing was a clubhouse/treehouse/ship/submarine and anything else they could use it for throughout the years. It lived a good long life and held up under the use and abuse of many a neighborhood child. :)

Bella's birthday party looked great, your Disney parties are always such an inspiration. Love the playhouse! We had the same exersaucer for DD.

I had the whole trip planned out but I don't see how we will be able to make it happen. :sad1:

Hope all of your baby wishes go as planned.

Sorry about the trip. Maybe you can take a smaller one and do some Disney parties at home. :wizard:

I have trouble with fireworks pictures too. Occasionally, I will get one or two that come out good.

Memom, Glad that you are feeling better.
Jill, That's a great playhouse. I know the girls will have lots of fun times in it!

Congratulations to all the new mommies! Enjoy your new little ones and try to get some sleep! Those first few months are tough! At least they were for me and I only have one.

I get lucky on a picture occasionally, and that is all it is - pure luck.

Maybe we'll get new baby updates soon. :dance3:

Haha, looks like we were both in a building mood today. Fiance put up the little guy's swing set. Of course, the little guy had to help. It was so cute!

A good day for builders. Handy Manny would be proud!

I need to get some kind of play thing for the girls to have here, but I doubt it will be a full-sized swing set. I'll have to be on the lookout for some fun backyard toy for them to climb around on. Bella is such a climber, I should probably just have a rock climbing wall put out back. :thumbsup2
